The only reason they are getting one star is because I can’t give them ZERO!!!! My husband and I are highly allergic to shrimp which we informed the waitress of numerous times and told them we did not want any shrimp. She clearly did not do her job properly because she didn’t inform the kitchen, the chef brought out shrimp with our food, we told him again and he continued to proceed to cook our food and told us it did not touch. After he made the food we took their word for it and attempted to eat, 3 bites in I had to go to the bathroom and threw up, my lips started to tingle, and my throat was itchy. I walk back to the table to find out that my husband was having an allergic reaction as well. The waitress never came over to the table to ask if we needed refills and when I wanted water to try and wash it down I had to get up look for someone to help which supposedly was the manager of this horrible establishment. I told him how we were both having allergic reactions, throwing up and how their waitress failed to do her job. He tried to put the blame on us saying why didn’t we tell them. Then told us he could take something off the bill even though we didn’t even really eat any of it, plus tried to charge us for a regular meal after asking for a kids meal for my son, then went to go check my sons plate. I He took off 10% which was less than $10, after really making it an issue about it he took 20% off which I doubt he even changed my sons meal to a kids meal and still charged us $79. We should not have had to pay for our food, my son was the only one who ate and I would have been okay paying for his food alone and our drinks. But to charge us so much for food we didn’t even eat that almost killed us is completely absurd. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE...

I've been a huge fan of this resturant for as long as I can remember. I have their VIP card etc. As a very strict vegetarian for 21 years. I ordered the agadashi tofu appetizer, there was a draft above us and the flakes on the top were moving... so I asked the waiter just to make sure there wasn't anything strange. He in turn informed me that it's fish flakes on top!? So I kindly asked for another with out any. Then proceeded to inform me that the sauce that is served with it is also fish baste and always have been!?. I then got a menu read it carefully and no where does it State anything about any kind of animal being associated with tofu! I am beyond pissed! I eat absolutely nothing with any kind of animal byproduct in it. To find out years later of me going there that they have been giving me fish stock etc in my food is absolutely unacceptable!! So sad to say I will not ever be returning! Now I don't think for any second that anything else I possibly order isn't tainted! And I was treated as if I should have known in the first place that it's Japanese cuisine! I'm sorry I love all types of food but that is not my ethnicity, I don't think it's my responsibility as a customer only ordering vegetarian items I should know that it's being prepared with animal products! Disgusting! So I hope anyone who is a vegetarian takes this as a...

Cute spot but on a Sunday night there was my family and another & not another person. That was alarming at first but staff was friendly although drinks seemed to take a long time even though they weren’t busy. The only reason I’m writing this is because the food was terrible and for $300 for 4 of us I thought that was excessive. We got one alcoholic beverage and two sodas, so no alcohol was ordered or extras. The food was very garlic and rice was burnt, it tasted like just garlic and food. Lots of my food tasted fishy since it was pushed into the salmon which I don’t even eat fish. It was very gross. We don’t mind going out, we love fine dining and don’t even look at costs as long as food is quality. This was a huge mistake. We wished we took the two hours to drive back home where they cook great Hibatchi. I would not recommend this place, and you couldn’t pay me to eat here unfortunately. Besides for food, service was great. Id def sit and have a drink I thought they had a nice selection like that was the only nice thing they have but were not huge drinkers. I don’t normally leave reviews tbh unless it’s absolutely necessary and usually it’s positive. I just was upset because the reviews were great VS other hibatchi locations. I figured I’d save some people a few bucks: you can cook this food at...

Absolutely Ridiculous – Avoid at All Costs! I don't even know where to begin with this place. Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse is a masterclass in how not to run a restaurant. The food? Mediocre at best. But the real slap in the face came when the bill arrived. Imagine having the audacity to charge a 20% "service charge" on each separate check just because you happen to know the people at your table. Are you kidding me? That’s not service — that’s a cash grab. And the waitress? Rude, snarky, and completely unprofessional. She acted like we were bothering her just by existing. No smile, no hospitality, just an attitude like she was doing us a favor by showing up. Honestly, if the goal was to make paying customers feel unwelcome and gouged, mission accomplished. This place isn’t worth your money or your time. There are far better Japanese steakhouses out there that actually appreciate their customers. Do yourself a favor and skip Ichiban. You’ll thank me later.

We've eaten here several times after seeing a movie at the nearby AMC Carmike. The sushi is prepared fresh and they have a nice variety of rolls, hand rolls, sashimi, and specials. The photo in this review is the Lehigh Bridge, a mixed sushi/sashimi platter for two. We enjoyed the miso soup and salad with carrot ginger dressing that came with it. The wasabi here is strong and pungent, definitely a plus! There's also a separate room with hibachi tables apart from the regular dining and bar area. We have not tried the hibachi. Their bento boxes and entrées are also very good. We would return, though have not registered for their frequent diner (VIP) card which is free and lets you earn rewards toward future meals. They are not pushy about signing up which is why we never remember to.

The chefs are very entertaining. Great place to celebrate birthdays and special occasions. We had the habachi. The mushroom soup is light and a nice appetite opener. The orange ginger dressing on the crisp salad is refreshing. The shrimp in the appetizer are plump and tasty. I chose the fried noodles that have a good grill taste. The fried rice is fluffy and well cooked. The scallops are very large and fresh and perfectly cooked. Steak came out medium as asked for. The grilled veggies have a nice snap to them. Everything is well seasoned. The portions are large. I recommend the premium hot sake. The staff was very attentive. Masks are required for staff, and guests who are walking in and around restaurant. Handicap entrance and parking.
