Was here with my mother and I had used a sort of key but not an actual key per se in place of a quarter as I donât carry change. When we were being rung up, the sole cashier, an old white woman was tossing our items inside the second cart as they have a fairly odd system in place regarding carts here. We were lucky she didnât throw our eggs. But when time came to leave and pack our things at the very front my mother intended to leave with the original cart but was not able to do so because the cashier, ripping through the silence, yelled at my mother like a human would a dog. She proceeded to (at the highest and most unnecessary of volumes)announce to the entire store but technically in direction of my mother why she could not take the cart. And when she saw the key which if you look up quarter key for carts will see what I mean she asked my mother why sheâd placed a key as in a house key inside the cart. She went on to say how she couldnât do that and my mother was only attempting to explain what was in there. After the woman ended her childish rant which only began because of her lack of understanding and refusal to learn we left with our original cart and another woman who appeared to be an employee but I am unsure, attempted to remove the âkeyâ and my mother, once again had to explain what it was and the other woman replied with âI believe youâ. Seriously, what business did either woman have in treating my mother in such a manner? In yelling like an ape and tossing our items like one too? I understand if youâve had a bad day but it is completely unprofessional and just plain rude to react in such a manner when weâd done nothing wrong. The key has been used in other places. It works just fine, we donât take the carts home if thatâs what the cashier was so worried about. Please, ALDI, keep your workers in check and prevent them from humiliating people whoâve done nothing wrong. Train these workers to not lash out like...

Aldi Also has household good and electronics pressure cooker toaster oven this season stuff like benches and many many more items and you'll have to look at my picks to see just too much to list.    Read moreSo today my mom and I went to Aldi to buy groceries. The cashier was SO rude. She had earbuds in and gave my mom attitude because the CASHIER was not paying attention and scanned another customerâs groceries. My mom and I werenât even done putting our groceries up to be scanned and she just started going right for the other customerâs purchase and blamed it on US. The cashier snapped at my mom and said she should have put a divider down (even though the customer behind us could have done so and the cashier could have payed attention). As a former cashier myself, I would NEVER give a customer so much attitude and disrespect. We are truly disappointed and disgusted in the service we received today. People who act this way should not be on your team (or any customer service team for that matter). I donât think weâll be going back to the location any time...
