I have to say this has been by far the worst experience I’ve had. I booked through an agency for 2 rooms for 2 nights. Now for whatever reason when we got there to check in there was only 1 room paid for by the agency. Despite showing proof of payment for 2 rooms for 2 nights they insisted there was nothing they could do. We had to purchase again on the spot, and take up the problem with the agency. The gentleman was very nice and worked very hard to fix the problem. Ok so we purchased again and then would take up the issue with the agency. Moving on, we get into our rooms and well I was less than impressed with the cleanliness. Absolutely dirty and disgusting. Roach baits everywhere , but never saw any bugs. Smelled like cigarettes. Construction was going on but was quiet at night. Beds are gross and hard as a rock, pillows are small hard squares. Just awful and absolutely uncomfortable. Tv picture was something like Picasso painting. Again whatever, moving on. We run our errands for the day to come back and our door keys don’t work. Go back down to ask for a new key. Woman issues a new key and we head back up only to find all our possessions gone from our room. Go down to the front desk and the most ignorant and rude woman with blue braids says “we got bills to pay and you didn’t pay for 2 nights. We confiscated your things till you pay.” Excuse me, what?! Not only did I pay twice but was met with instant hostility. Again showing proof rooms are paid for, not only once but twice. Here with are and this ugly attitude up front and center. Explain that this is a horrible experience and our rooms are dirty. She says “ no one told you to stay here”. Proceeds to see the rooms are actually paid for. But if they weren’t paid for 5 minutes ago why did you give me a key for the room with no problem, so what’s really going on here? She shows us our things laying on the floor in the lobby and says here is your stuff. No apology no handling our things with care no hospitality at all. Absolutely disgusting behavior for this business of hospitality. I gave one star because you have to. But I would never recommend this...
Read moreThis place, which is really a big and nice looking building outside, well situated in Allentown, deserve a surgical revamp of its staff. May be beneficial if they completely let go entire team and rehire as new otherwise a fall is imminent. We checked in Hotel on the 16th, August in late nights. We were welcomed by an angry front desk staff. We don't know why. After registering, one lady took a microphone to talk to us, we were just in front off her, but using a microphone/megaphone to answer our questions such as if breakfast was available, check out time, was not appropriate especially to literally yell, and sending us off, in a tone of voice never encountered anywhere else on this planned. All of us in the group and apparently guests in lobby were astonished by this attitude. "You ordered a bed in a smoking area, we don't have other beds available". The fact was we had ordered and advised to have one bed in a non smoking area, and another one in smoking area. We knew that, and all were changed at the checking in apparently because our non smocking room was assigned to another guest. Once arrived in room, pillows were very poorly wrapped, old, old bedspreads with evidence of burning and holes from cigarettes, very old and poorly kept carpet, etc...
My credit card was charged twice, at the check out the following day, I asked to be refunded for extra charge, the front desk advised that that charge will drop after 48hours. Today more than 15days, the charge has not be refunded.
I just called the Hotel (10:41) today, the attendant who answered the phone, advised to call after 11:30 to speak to the management when they are on duty. I asked her to take my info and pass that to the management, in the same angry tone she continued to repeat, "call back after 11:30" and apparently did not want to take my info to the management. In angry and high raised voice after asked her name, she hang up on me and refused to give me her name.
This was my second stay at this place, and experience has not been different. This was als my last to stay...
Read moreIf I could rate it lower I could. Booked a one night stay on June 18th-19th. Arrived and stood waiting around in the lobby for about 15 minutes while no one was at the desk or around to help check us in. Signs in front said to call the number if someone isnt there to help. It just rang and rang but no on picked up. Other people started coming in and waiting around. Finally got service and went up to my room and we were welcomed by a sticky carpeted hallway, and when we got to the room itself, it had the stalest smell, the fire detector was hanging from the ceiling by a wire, the bed looked like it was thrown together last minute as if it wasn't actually cleaned, etc. - Left immediately and asked for a refund as their signs in the lobby said they’d do if nothing was touched. I booked through booking.com so I had to call their customer service to get a refund, but they needed a confirmation email from Knights Inn that we were in fact canceling our stay so they could issue a refund. The front desk woman kept saying she didnt have to do anything, ignored the booking.com customer service as they tried to call - actually had the front desk phone on mute all together, and then flat out told us that she just wasn’t going to agree to a refund even though we literally canceled after 3 minutes of being there. She finally answered the phone and told us we were good to go. 2 days later got an email from booking.com saying they still never received any confirmation email from the Knights Inn to refund us. I emailed Knights Inn again asking for a refund and explaining the situation, and I never got an answer back. Bad customer service and unclean rooms. Please save your money. I had to dish out more money to stay somewhere else. Save yourself...
