Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Hanover Township

We are extremely patient people whom seldomly complain, if not ever, so this review was written due to a very poor experience. For 4 hotdogs, 4 fries, and 4 drinks at over $40, one would expect the serving size of our meals to be regular sized. These were kid sized meals! I am 5’4 and 110 pounds and eating this felt like I was robbed of my money. I had to order another side for myself and my 5 year old after we were done to feel full/satisfied.

There is also a 20 cent transaction fee on any credit card purchase in addition to them asking for a “tip” for regularly working on top of their normally payed salary. I do not tip for someone bringing out my food to me when this is part of a “TO GO” food restaurant service. It’s not a courtesy action, it’s a requirement for any customer to receive their food. I tip when a service member goes out of their way to do something for a customer or does an over the top exceptional job. I do not tip for nothing. The tipping culture is out of control and this was honestly just irritating.

Also, for 4 people they gave us 3 napkins. They ran out of ketchup packets so they gave us mustard instead. Food took about 15 minutes to come...

Made a mobile order and parked in a stall. Submitted my stall number and patiently waited for my food. A screen confirmed my order with a welcome back message along with my name. I ordered two drinks and an onion ring. Almost 20 minutes later, the food still wasn’t out. I pressed the button for customer service and was rudely talked to saying they tried to talk to me but couldn’t (yeah my car window was up bc of the bad weather!) and that they were NOT bringing out orders. What the ??? Didn’t even try to do anything about it , just let me sit there…… no apology, NOTHING. I will NEVER EVER COME back to this location EVER again. Can’t believe how bad it’s gotten over these years, and trust me, it’s bad! Don’t waste your time coming here. They need a major revamp in customer experience and customer service before they are ever what they used to be back in the old days. A believe me — they are barely a shadow of them...

Myrin was the young gentleman that took my order professionally and accurately. Hence the 4 stars. Now, when i called on 07.20.21 @ 4:37p & 4:40pm, the two seperate girls that answered the phone were rude and gave inaccurate information when i asked if this location had the Shark Slushy. Allegedly, (1st) they had nomore left. When i called again, I asked if they had the clear cup for it (to rqst the same ingredients) to make one myself. Target nearby sells the same gummy sharks. (2nd girl OTP) No. It was a limited time for shark week. I drive up at 5:46pm (figured I'd use a jar at home after my stop at Target) to ask for the blue coconut Slushies only.
