My boyfriend, our 16 mo old son, and myself recently visited this establishment, before returning home, this past Sunday. We were excited to get out of the house, and to visit Hanover. As we entered the not very busy, firehouse subs, we were NOT greeted by the very rude, unpleasant, not friendly, employee, Makayla. When I asked simple questions about menu choices, I was made to feel that I was a bother to her, or that I was wasting her time. I thanked her anyway, after my order was placed. She didn’t respond and walked away with an attitude. After we receive our order by another employee, I went back to get a sauce I forgot. I asked the employee who gave us our food, for the forgotten item. Makayla overheard our conversation, and took it upon herself, to get a cold sauce out of the refrigerator and slap it on the counter then walked away. I asked the employee I was talking to if could have one that wasn’t cold. Makayla came back and began to argue that that’s the only one they had. At this point I asked for her name. I was completely distraught that a young woman with such potential in a work environment would carry herself in this manner, especially to a woman who clearly has a young child with her. Unfortunately, our family will not be visiting this establishment again. It was a very unwelcoming, hostile environment, that was not...
Read moreWe used to love Firehouse Subs...we always order our favorites. Its pricey to get food here, 2 large subs, $40 (no chips or drinks)! So we dont come here often. We got subs yesterday, I waited about 24 minutes for our order to get done. There was a young man there who was making the subs, but he didnt seem to know the menu. The 'manager' just stood around while this one kid tried to make the orders. He should have jumped in. I got the food home & when we opened our sand boxes, things got worse! We got 2 large subs...both of our subs had a short piece of sub 1/3 and the other side was 2/3. So the little 1/3 pieces of rolls are left from making other peoples orders were deliberately used. We called them 'Franken-subs'. I could elaborate more to talk about sub ingredients, freshness, portion sizes, but I wont. For sure, we will not be returning!! Oh yeah, one more thing...when u dine here & they ring u up, the card machine(or cashier) always asked if I wanted to 'round up' my purchase as a donation to the Firemans Fund. It made you feel good to help. However, the last few times were not that way...the only other screen was one asking for us to tip them!!! Why would I tip them? They are getting paid to do their job. Lastly...WE DIDNT EVEN GET PICKLES! WTH...
Read moreAs a dasher you walk in and are SOMETIMES greeted with a low tone “welcome to firehouse subs” (that sounds like they could choke having to say anything) if you’re not greeted, you are ignored, then asked who are you picking up for in an annoyed tone, followed by an even more annoyed tone of “we’re working on it”. You can hear the eye rolls that come from the staff that work days here. Girl with the long pony tail would probably crumble to the ground if she dare tried to smile. They all clearly are miserable working here, and I’m starting to think the reason for thr work station being so tall is to hide their god awful attitudes that are written all over their faces. One day while waiting on an order, I witnessed the manager bring her husband and two children into the place and walk right back into the kitchen area. The whole place is unprofessional, grossly snooty, and coming from a line of firefighters in my family, I hate the fact that these people represent a place that is suppose to help support our first line service men and women. Seriously need to do something about the attitudes here. I will never spend my actual money in here, due to how unwelcoming the day shift crew is. Evening shift has always...
