Baja Fresh — Restaurant in Happy Valley

I've eaten at five Baja Freshes throughout the Vancouver and Portland metro regions, and I've found this Baja Fresh to be the best overall amongst them all! This Baja Fresh is located within a small outdoor shopping center with various other casual dining establishments and businesses surrounding it, but parking is still excellent since they have a large parking lot. They have two wheelchair accessible entrances/exits, so there isn't a bottleneck into the restaurant. Cashiers promptly greet you upon entering, and quickly take your order and collect payment. They offer you free tortilla chips while you wait for your order with a full complement of salsas at the salsa bar. Usual orders take between five to ten minutes, while larger more complicated orders may vary. Great food at a good price and service with respect since they call every customer "Sir" or "Ma'am," make this an excellent dining experience and fast casual atmosphere allows you to order to-go or linger with family and friends to catch up on the week. Restrooms are kept in excellent condition because I saw employees replenishing toilet paper, hand towel rolls, hand soap, and garbage receptacles every night prior to closing. My favorite lunch in Clackamas county!

I always get 2 tacos, with incredibly fresh salsas. Since they have 6 available, I get mild mango on one of chicken tacos. The other taco I always get hot Baja, which is super savory! On my free tortilla chips, I put fresh tomato from the pico de gallo and lime with cilantro on top. So basically 5 out of the 6 offerings from the salsa bar, I enjoy every visit.

And of course wash it all down with an icy cold Coca-Cola every time.

The manager Gustavo is the best manager. I’ve met in a really long time. He is such a good representative of the sunny-dispositioned owner who is a sweetheart. Together, they are an essential part of this Clackamas town center community! The service is fast, with a friendly smile and they always give me exactly what I order.

I eat at this location about twice a month. The food is usually good but not consistent in quality and taste! There is a male cashier who is borderline rude to me when he takes my order and never inquires about entering my phone number for reward points! When I asked to enter my phone number he acts like it's a hassle for him! I ate here today and the mild tomato salsa looked like it was coated with slim! I will continue to eat at this location when I'm in Clackamas but given a choice, I would eat at the Gresham location every time because it a much more inviting experience and they make me feel like a valued customer instead of a hassle!
