First off the service was nice and very attentive. No complaints there, but unfortunately the rest of our visit didn't meet the same standards.
We had reservations booked over a month in advance for Christmas Eve, and were excited to try the menu. Unfortunately dinner was very disappointing.
To start we were not seated by a window as our reservation requested, but instead in a back corner by the kitchen. Well that's ok we'll get set in to try some appetizers and drinks.
We ordered the empanadas and jamon bruschetta. Both were not good. The 'empanadas' were actually greasy ground beef deep fried in a thick wonton. The jamon bruschetta was a hunk of fresh mozzarella with shaved ham just thrown on top of spring mix and 3 pieces of toast.
At this point we were hoping the steakhouse would at least have good steak. Strike three though. We had the 'dinner for two' which consisted of linguiça sausage, beef ribs, bavette steak (flank steak) and fondue potatoes. The linguiça was ok but could have benefited from a bit of char from the grill. The beef rib tasted like pot roast and the bavette steak was good but cut in the wrong direction causing it to be tough. Potatoes were nice and crispy but lacked seasoning and the fondue was watery and bland. Worst of all the signature chimichurri offerings were flavorless and watery!
To close out the night we had an apple carmel dessert. It tasted like frozen fillo dough with raw apples placed on top then baked with ice cream plopped on top. To be honest McDonald's apple pie has more flavor.
I hate leaving bad reviews, but unfortunately the food here deserves...
Read moreCalled ahead, dining room was full, advised we could eat outside which we preferred, were advised full menu available on the patio. We arrived, were directed outside by a disengaged hostess. We grabbed a picnic table, no service for 10 minutes, only one other table seated and they were served, went and asked the guy running the grill for service, he brought a single menu for the three of us, limited to bbq, asked for full menu, he advised we were the on the bbq side, they were trying to keep them separate. Had to move to another type of table to get dining room menu, we moved, another 10 minute wait, finally asked a busboy for a menu but were told of all the menus in his arm wasn’t sure which was which, I directed him and got three of them. We received some waters from a gal, a few minutes later a waiter arrived, took our drink orders and left the area. We then waited 30 minutes, no drinks, no waiter check in so we and a couple of other tables all got up and walked out. The employees seem completely disengaged, I had high hopes for this place, the menu looked good. Sorry it turned out like this, the employees are costing them business, need a floating manager to keep it running properly. I’ll surely never return, lost a customer and my referrals. Thankfully we’re a food town and have lots of choices. Good...
Read moreAnother outstanding dining experience with my family. 1st visit here. Hubs been wanting to try it out for months. Granted he's been wanting to try the 24oz ribeye, but we came during lunch so he and I shared the Argentine Asado(feeds 2). This dish was $55.00 and came with (beef ribs, grilled flank steak, sausages, fingerling potates with cheese sauce, two dipping sauces, and pickled veggies). This was more than enough for two possibly a 3rd person could've been fed. We started our meal with the crispy brussels with fundido (cheese sauce+crispy pork belly) this dish was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. My daughters shared the mojo pork arepas which comes with two good sized crisp corn cakes with smashed avocado, smoked ancho aioli, queso fresco, pickled red onions). My youngest had the fuego mac (pork belly, tiny sweet tomatoes, creamy chorizo cheese sauce, cavatappi pasta). The other daughter had the Peruvian Frites (two seasoned grilled skirt steaks topped with red chimichurri sauce, yuca frites( like steak fries but more of a dense potato texture topped with garlic, cheese). We we're so full no room to even try dessert. Our server was fantastic, attentive, courteous, accomodating. All in all a great dining experience for all of us. I definitely want to come back to try their...
