I don't usually do review, but I just had to. I've always use office depot for any fast poster printing with okay-usable quality and never had a problem with the colors and or print out. It's office depot, I didn't expect great quality and perfect colors - just usable. So I went into this one in Happy Valley to get some posters done, everyone was very nice and friendly until they make a mistake.
I went in to pick up the posters and the colors were very off and wasn't usable. I told the guy that I wanted a refund because I can't use it. He told me it was my fault and it's my file so they can't do a refund and if he would to reprint it for me I would have to pay again. Can't believe this guy just told me to pay again for the same result. How funny. I do design and graphic work for a living so I know the process. It's your printer... anyways long story short he didn't believe me so he tried printing a sample using a different printer and of course the colors were better and usable. By the way, It's going to be different with every printers so you can't just tell your customer it's their fault and that their file is the problem. If they don't like how your printer prints just give them their money back. What horrible service. After seeing the sample print outs, still, instead of a refund he told me he was going to color correct it only this time for free to look similar to the sample.
(Good luck doing that using two different printers, that will take you a very long time, waste lots and lots of ink and paper, should of just follow your 30 days return policy.)
I let them do it and it still prints the same. Won't be going to Office Depot anymore. If you want to do large or poster printing take it somewhere else.
The stars are for two other sale reps, "Terrance" and i believe her name is "Hanna" they handle it well. Terrance gave me a return without making it difficult. So thanks guys for the great...

From the moment we walked in, the manager, Eric I believe was immediately helpful. Leading the way to the electronic cleaning section and gave me some very helpful tips on screen cleaning before he was off to help other customers.
He checked on me again after noticing I was spending an abnormal amount of time in the computer mice section. I asked him if the price matched Amazon, to which he agreed.
The outstanding aspect of his CS is when we were leaving the store. We saw some tables in the front entrance marked about 80% off. (Note that this was right before closing time)
Again, he offered assistance and answered all of our questions about the tables. Showing zero annoyance at how close it was to closing time. HE THEN OFFERED TO MARK THEM DOWN EVEN MORE FOR US. !!!! They were already so cheap. It was incredibly kind of him to do this. ESPECIALLY the fact that it was closing time.
He told a couple of employees to help us get it to the car. He had to tell them a couple of times and I mentioned that it was okay, we understood it was late and closing soon & that I would help him with it. He responded, "No, they're just standing there chit-chatting, it's their job, they need to do their job." (Note that the store had less than 3 other customers, there just wasn't much for them to be doing and it's possible they didn't hear Eric the first time he told them to help with the table.) I was impressed by the manager's persistence and dedication to providing us with a flawless experience from start to finish. (I'm not negatively commenting on anyone's service whatsoever!
This store will now be my go-to office...
Read moreThe Tech Service Manager (Eric) at the Happy Valley, Oregon (#864) location was extremely helpful and went above and beyond what he was supposed to do. I had phoned in about a tech trade in for an old iPhone. At first he said the store wasn't able to do it, but upon further investigation he found out he could. I had already gone into the Milwaukie Office Max (#6580) and was told they didn't do it, even though the website said they did. Eric said come on by and he'd help me out. I showed up a short time later and was greeted very pleasantly by Eric and he proceeded with the tech trade in.
Unfortunately the computer system was not taking the tech trade in request (he tried multiple times) but that didn't stop Eric from continuing his pursuit of excellent customer service. He honored the tech trade in value and discounted my printer purchase, and gave me back the old iPhone. Eric also gave me a discount on the ink since the products I had wanted were out of stock and I had to purchase the higher price alternative.
Eric is a rare gem in the industry of retail and customer service. He listened with concern and never became defensive. He looked for a solution to my problem and found a way to make me, the customer, happy. I truly appreciate his dedication to kindness - especially given our current world events.
Office Depot: Please honor Eric in whatever fashion - he is well deserved of...
