LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in Harlingen

I am definitely not coming back here again. This is my first review I write ever on a restaraunt. I am giving it a 2 star for the food being quite bad, waitress being very nice, and the 1 minute wait time to get seated. So we ordered the appetizer wings and those had a weird flavor to them. I couldn't point out what it was until my partner said they have been frozen for a long time. The bones of the wings were pretty much black which means they have been frozen for a looong time. Some bites were seasoned well, other bites were not. Next, I ordered the country fried chicken. It looked good when it came to the table but upon eating it, it had a bitter taste to it. It was just off. There was no flavor to it either. I ordered this with some fries, which tasted fine until the last couple thats tasted like they were next to broccoli for a while which grossed me out, the mashed potatoes with it were good and the mac and cheese was just not to my liking but my partner like it. My partner ordered the 6 oz steak which he said tasted like it was frozen for a long while as well and found the whole meal unappetizing besides the mac and cheese. I took the left overs of my meal because I just couldn't finish it since it was just not that yummy but I also don't like food going to waste. I asked my partner to taste it to see if maybe it was just my tastebuds that were off with my chicken and he asked me how i did not get sick because that chicken was very old. I didn't even even finish one whole piece out of the two that come with it. That's the confirmatiom I needed to know I wasn't "crazy". But the good part about it is that the waitress was very nice and checked up on us frequently. I just wouldn't come back here after that experience. I expected better for the price. I will just stick to Texas...

3•2•25 came for my bday and we both ordered steaks they were very good and for desert the cheese cake and omg it was super good for the $$ of that cheese cake thank you staff

We went for my husband's birthday was good choice. From the entrance as you sign in I didn't like the host sat me right in front of the entrance right then and there I got up and said I don't like this area it's just hot, muggy to close to doors. If I wanted that heat, I'd sit outside. So I told him Move me. So we sat inside more in yet nicer and cooler. Now, my waiter could have been a bit more attentive but was not. The place was a tad empty, but it was not overwhelmed it was a Tuesday, not the weekend. Anyway he didn't check on us much rather want to give a shout out to another (hosts/server) idk his position but his name was Damian he was more attentive and he helped us and others. He knew we were low on bread, said, be done in 2 minutes, and he brought fresh to us. He was not our waiter, but if I had a choice, I'd pick him for my waiter. Now the food was delish, so props to the cook who made our steak was so good. and chicken fried steak was good but a bit to battery. Overall, it was not an issue with the food it was good. Of course, prices are a bit steep but not any worse than any competitors that are over rated everyday. If u know another steak house I'm referring to. But this one is different and the steak is very flavorful, great taste. The corn is very good different but good taste. I loved their mashpotatoes were good, too. Was surprised to see whole fried okra instead of slices as usual in most places. But it is good, just service with my own waiter was not great needs work and be more attentive with clients. I dunno his name never left it. 🤷‍♀️ so...

By far the best steak I've ever ate in my life and I think Texas Roadhouse and everything else and man that is top of the line right there like if anybody is going to eat a steak they need to come here that was so good we had the Porter House and we had two loaded baked potatoes those were extremely good too oh my gosh and then we had some shrimp with that and some rice and we had a four count of shrimp and they gave us an eight count and they gave it some extra bread too I am so full like that was one heck of a good meal like I would give a hundred Stars if I could like that was so good but they forgot to put our shrimp with our food when we had it to go you know and we went back to get our shrimp and that's probably why they gave us an 8 count of shrimp and the rice with it which you guys totally Rock for that that was so awesome and not to mention when we went back to get it Mickey and Minnie mouse were there oh my God my favorite and my fiance's favorite characters like we love them so much and that was so awesome like that was the biggest smile I've ever smiled for real and that was literally the first picture I took for the hat off in over 10 years hippo is scared of Frosty the snowman he loves Santa Claus but he was terrified of Mickey and Minnie mouse this picture says a thousand words in it and I love you guys so much for the best night ever so far of our sobriety my fiance and I have struggled with drugs and stuff for a long time and we have been cleaned I'm going on 12 days he's going on 16 days and this was by far the coolest night we've had in a very long time thank you LongHorn steakhouse for being like the top notch restaurant ever!!!!!
