I tried this place out last night. I had the Half Chicken, Half a pound of Brisket and an Ice Tea and it was alright. The Chicken was not comparable to Long Horn Steak House in San Benito. The Brisket was, it was very soft and tasty. The only thing about smoked brisket is that it will come back and haunt some people with heartburn. So if you have a Heartburn issue, avoid smoked meats. I found the Brisket at Dave's BBQ to not have that affect on heartburn issues and still amazing. I wonder if Dave smokes it there or not? Oh I don't understand why Texas BBQ have Unsweet Tea without Sweet and Low. I asked and they have never had any sweet and low or splenda, etc. Get it together Texas BBQ we are the customers, give us what we want. Oh and the BBQ sauce looks and tastes like it was made from a basic bbq sauce with a blend of chamoy. It was all right but tasted other sauces that are way better. Our Cousin ordered the Dino Rib and he payed $37 for the ribs only. Crazy rib price try TACO OLE' in Mission and you will Pay $12.99 buffet and they have the same ribs and there they are the bomb. So bottom line is that the Brisket was good, the chicken was ok and the Ribs were overpriced. Oh and no darn sweet and low. Dang it man! Will I go back? of course I will take a Nexium two hours before and only order the Brisket and take some sweet in low from home just in case they havent listened to ther customers about that. Texas BBQ good luck and hope you try to make your customers happy. Because thats...

It hurts me to give this place 3 stars when it had the potential to get 5 from me! The brisket was awesome very moist and tender!!! however the reason I gave it 3 is because when I ordered moist the layer of fat was still served with it. I understand that you need the fat to give it flavor and its juiciness but your supposed to trim the fat layer off just before you serve it to the customer. I also ordered 1/2 lbs of lean and that was fantastic! With lean your supposed to trim more fat off and cook and moist is cooked with fat but cut off just before serving. Next the "pit masters pick" onion rings were very bland no flavor just plain with no seasoning. Come on whataburger next door makes better onion rings than you! Either season them or add more seasoning if you did season them. If not just take them completely off the menu please. Now the sausage was good but for $3 I was expecting at least 1/2 a link like most well known bbq places in texas not a 3in piece of sausage. And finally the potato salad and bbq sauce was ok nothing special. Maybe thicken up the sause a bit perhaps with just a little corn starch or flour maybe. I wish I could have talked about your Turkey but unfortunately you were out at the time. But overall it could have been better but still I...

My husband and I went on 6/23/2023 evening, FOOD WAS GREAT! BAR AREA WAS AWESOME. When we got there, went to the ordering area and the young lady that was there seemed annoyed at us even being there. Almost as if she didn't want to take the order, we got our food and sat at the bar, which we loved to be honest. The atmosphere is really nice almost as if you are someplace up in texas. While at the bar we noticed and discovered why the young lady that attendant us was bothered, There was another young girl with reddish hair that was helping our bartender for a brief moment, which annoyed the girl we got. So much that when she went back to the order area, the girl got after her (red hair girl). Which was uncalled for. The red hair girl seemed so welcoming and happy, naturally pleasant, I think having had her this experience would have been perfect. Clearly this young lady we got was in a bad mood, because from the bar you could clearly see how annoyed she was while taking other peoples order, all the while the red head girl was so nice.

Overall I don't wish to give a review less of 5 stars over one sour apple in the bunch. Our bartender was also very nice and pleasant, it was just that one girl.

Edit: I went on friday June 23 at about 5:45pm, I apologize...

I recently visited Smoke: Texas BBQ and Watering Hole and had an incredible dining experience. The brisket served here was absolutely mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. It was moist, tender, and bursting with smoky flavors. I couldn’t get enough of it! Not only was the food outstanding, but the customer service was also top-notch. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. It’s evident that they genuinely care about their customers’ experience. I do understand that we were their last customers of the day, and although the staff might have been a little frustrated, they didn’t let it affect the quality of their service or the food. They maintained their professionalism and made sure we had a great dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Smoke: Texas BBQ and Watering Hole for their delicious brisket, excellent customer service, and genuine commitment to making every guest feel welcome. Despite being their last customers, we had a fantastic time and left with happy bellies. I can’t wait to visit again!

Let's start out with this place is good. Very good infact. But let's also discuss it is Houston priced bbq. It's an old warehouse, looks awesome. Well decorated, has a bar in the middle and a counter with the friendliest folks. Ordered ribs and moist brisket and one side. 37 dollars before tip. Thirty seven dollars. I'll always pay for good food, so you won't be disappointed but man ... oh and pickles and onion are free but should you want jalapenos they're 1.50. Which is just ridiculous. So the ribs were sauced, and had a nice bite without just completely falling off the bone. Just how I like them. The brisket crust was super salty but it's a rub, I get it. Still good, moist, and just melted in your mouth. The potato salad was very nondescript and could have easily been forgotten. Wasn't good. Wasn't bad. Just there. Now when you're done you leave your tray at your table. I didn't know and turned it in, I won't be accused of being a lazy bones. Anyway, if you want good BBQ, and aren't afraid to pay for it, then this is your place.

I really like the big open space feeling when you walk in. Simple, clean, efficient, very relaxed. Walk up to the kitchen counter on the right and order your food first as they DO sell out. Then order drinks from the bar in the center. $5 beer; free club soda! Large soft drinks from the fountain, $3. I enjoyed the chopped brisket sandwich. The large hamburger-type bun was soft and delicious. I really liked the barbecue sauce too! Onion and pickle slices on the side was perfect. The sandwich came with a very small potato salad (or other side) which wasn’t bad, but could have used a little more flavor—maybe some salt or spice. The brisket nachos were also good. Enjoyed the flavor of the cheese, brisket, & nacho combination. Charro beans were delicious—not too soupy; not too much salt. Party room with tablecloths in the back and additional large dining room on the side which wasn’t needed at the time. Friendly staff, lots of parking, good restrooms, and a very chill atmosphere. Definitely will be back.
