My recent visit to Whataburger was nothing short of a nightmare, easily the worst drive-thru experience I’ve ever endured. I ordered a simple chicken strip combo, expecting the quick, reliable service Whataburger is supposedly known for. Instead, I was trapped in the drive-thru line for an outrageous 30 minutes. Thirty minutes for a basic order in the late afternoon, when the place wasn’t even slammed! It’s clear the management has zero control over this chaotic mess of a restaurant.
To add insult to injury, the staff had the audacity to rush outside to charge my card almost immediately, clearly gaming their system to keep their precious wait-time metrics in check. It’s a pathetic tactic to avoid corporate heat while leaving customers like me stuck in an endless wait. They care more about their numbers than the people paying for their service.
The ordeal didn’t end there. My poor kid, stuck in the car for this absurd duration, desperately needed a bathroom break. We had no choice but to venture inside, only to be greeted by a restroom that was an absolute disgrace. The smell hit us like a wall—rancid and overwhelming. The floors were slick with grime and water, and the entire space looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. It was beyond disgusting; it was a health hazard. No one should have to navigate a biohazard just to use a restroom, especially not at a chain like Whataburger that prides itself on Texas hospitality.
This location is a textbook example of mismanagement. The staff seemed disorganized, the facilities were neglected, and the customer experience was an afterthought. For a Whataburger to be in such a deplorable state during a non-peak time is not just unacceptable—it’s pathetic. Save your time, money, and sanity, and steer clear of this dumpster fire of...
Read moreI was ignored when I went to pick up my online order by at least 3 people. Another person was actually called to go before me and the lady in line made the comment that I was there first. This was the only reason I was acknowleged. I waited 30 to go to the store because I was instructed to do so through the app because my order was over $50.00. I had to wait an additional 20 minutes to receive my order. After I finally got my order and got home, the 'secure check' lid stickers left paper and adhesive on the lids and over the straw hole. I even pushed the straw in through the bottom as to not push paper into my drink and it still didn't work. On my hamburger I ordered extra pickles and did not get extra pickles. They forgot my daughter's milk for her meal and none of the drinks were marked as to what they were. I am diabetic and only drink Zero or Diet products and the ONLY reason I knew which drink was mine because I ordered a large. I observed 1 person using the cash register, then placing food into bags with her bare hands. I'm not sure why the service had gone down. I understand that they are busy, but they weren't full inside and the line at the drive through wasn't that bad. Even another customer had come back to complain about stuff missing from their order. I tried to do the survey at the bottom and it kept asking me for a register number, order number, survey code and the receipt I received only had my order number on it so I couldn't even complete the survey ( at least I don't think it...
Read moreThis was the worst visit! We get there and are greeted with a tired scowl and a constant what else, what else from this cashier. Well in rushing me I forgot to ask for onion rings instead of fries. I asked the cashier if I could change it and she kept mumbling something under her breath. I asked her again because I could not understand her and she finally speaks up to say, "I already charged you." She began with that "I dont want to be here at work attitude" when we first made contact with her so it did not surprise me when she made that comment. My sister was like she is unable to fix it obviously so I'll just order onion rings and we will trade. Then we go and sit down at an "unavailable table" but because there was no where else to sit on the other side of the dining area where EVERYONE else was sitting. There was no way to social distance but yet this woman came to tell us 4 to move to the other side even after I told her there was no where to sit and there was no one where we were anyway. She said this is only for people picking up orders! You know how many people picked up an order? While we were there? 1 person. It was a horrible experience to have to eat dinner with an anger because no one cares about customer service anymore and on top of that being bullied to move when you and your family are already seated and you know your right about no other table available or social...
