Downtown Deli And Catering — Restaurant in Harrisburg

First time here, thought I found the BEST breakfast spot, but after my last two visits I am disappointed. I don’t know if the cashier (older female) just doesn’t listen when I’m ordering or what...but these last two times my carry out order has been messed up. They are somewhat friendly (older female seems like she’d rather be doing something else than be on the register), the food lately is “ok”, and the service is quick which is why I’m still giving some stars. Advice: if carrying out check, recheck, and triple check your meal...even the simplest order (as I had) you...

Ordered from here twice and both times the food was great. Generous portion sizes and not expensive. Only downside is they make the food right away, even if you schedule for a future time. IE I take my lunch at 130 so I scheduled my pickup for that time but they made the food and said it was ready 5 minutes after I placed the order. This happened the first time and I thought maybe it was a fluke but they did it the second time as well. Just be prepared for that when doing an online order because your food (hot or cold) will be sitting on the counter that...

After an overnight stay in Harrisburg, we wanted a couple of sandwiches for a picnic lunch later that day while en route to our next destination. How luck for us that we found Downtown Deli. Wow, what an extensive menu. I had a hard time making up my mind. But once I did, my order was taken quickly and my sandwiches were prepared promptly. Then later, when I got to eat 'em, they were delicious. Do yourself a favor, go to Downtown Deli you won't be disappointed. Good food, good service, modest...
