STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!! My daughter and myself became patients at FreshDental a few years ago. We had both enjoyed the atmosphere and the way that we were treated until recently. Last year, Oct/Nov time frame, I had my teeth cleaned. In April 2019 I called to check on my April cleaning appointment. Few days later, I was surprised to find a bill, un-itemized for approximately $289.00. I contacted the office and was directed to "Angelica". She proceeded to tell me how she was "cleaning up the books for the year" had determined that I owed the $289. I explained to her what had happened how the previous tx had been coded wrong on the insurance claim. I had already paid close to $3000 for this procedure, when originally was advised that it would only be approximately $2200, which I promptly paid, I later had to pay an additional $539.00 which I was advised was all that I owed. Dr. xxx had sent an appeal narrative to my insurance company because they were not going to pay for how she coded the original claim, and what she coded was not what was done during the treatment; nor was it allowed under my plan. I was advised to tell the insurance company that Dr. xxx had given me an implant, although she had not. During this time, from the end of my treatment with Dr. xxx and my first conversation with Angelica approx. 2 years later, I NEVER received a bill ! Angelica told me that she was cleaning up the books and that is why I received an unexplained, un-itemized bill. It was as if she had taken whatever shortages she found in their billing system and divided it amongst patients! I spent at least an hour talking to Angelica trying to explain, in which she was very unprofessional, speaking to me as if I were her friend or as if she had known me in a personal way and would take care of me because she understood. She has no understanding of me nor my financial situation and this is what she alluded. She was supposed to talk to one of the owners, in regards to clearing that $289 off my bill. I never heard back so assumed it was taken care. I did not receive another bill , nor did Angelica attempt to contact me to give me the status of the correction to my bill until I called to schedule my April 2019 cleaning. I asked to speak to Angelica after learning that the $289 was still on my bill. Angelica called me, I called her back, and then she texted that we were playing phone tag. Due to work requirements I was unable to immediately call her back and then onApril 21, 2019, I received a bill for $289, itemized in my home mail. The items listed were not the original charges submitted to my insurance company, nor did I receive any porcelain crowns that were indicated on my EOB!!!! I trusted this practice to do the right thing.
On 4/22/19 , I was directed to Angelica, again. She basically said that she had been waiting on me to call her back (for 6 months) regarding a receipt for the last payment that I made for ($539) The payment was made on my credit card . I assumed that Angelica never spoke to any of the owners as she was supposed to have done late last year, in regards to that mysterious charge of $289. When I spoke to her, she again was very unprofessional and speaking to me as if I were her girlfriend, asking me if I remembered our conversation late last year. She basically insinuated that I had gotten over and owed more than she was charging. How dare, she insinuate that 1) I was trying to "get over"; 2) that I needed her to do me a favor; 3) that I was ok with how she talked to me. My point is, that she is inept as the office manager and should be more professional when she is dealing with clients and should not be so familiar with clients, especially when money disputes are involved. I received a call from her early May and was told that she had spoke to the owners and the mysterious $289 charge was still valid. I asked that she bill me, to this date no bill. I am anxious that this will show up on my "good" credit and I will have to fight them again, instead of them doing the...
Read moreFresh Dental would have been a new dentist for me. First, the facility was very neat and clean. Everyone seemed to be taking the proper precautions and wearing there PPE.
This was my first and only visit for a few reasons. They emailed me my new patient forms the morning of my appointment about 40 mins before and then advised me to complete them before I arrived. That was impossible as I'd just received them. When I arrived I called to let them know I was there as instructed in the email. I also let them know I didn't have time to complete the forms as I'd just received them. I was allowed time to finish the new patient forms before heading back for my cleaning and exam. I wish they had at the latest sent them the day before.
The dentist, dental assistant, and hygienist were extremely polite and seemed helpful at first. I did however feel pressured to buy treatments that I don't feel I needed. The dentist and the hygienist tried to get me to pay for an in office fluoride treatment that my insurance wouldn't cover. I explained my dental hygiene routine and that it included brushing with prescription strength fluoride toothpaste every night and they still insisted I needed this treatment. I did not purchase it of course. It felt like a sales pitch and that they didn't care what I actually needed or what my dental hygiene goals were.
Finally in speaking with the office manager she offered me their in house insurance plan as mine didn't seem sufficient and gave me a brochure to review. The office manager showed me a treatment plan going forward for what they recommend I have done. She stated she would email me the treatment plan. She didn't email it. I had to call and request it and it did not show the treatment details just a total out of pocket price and line items of treatment. The one I saw in office listed the line items with price per item. The plan I received via email did not.
In a medical setting I just don't like feeling like I can be had or someone is going after my wallet when I'm here for medical treatment or prevention.
Update I went to a different dentist (Charlotte Dentistry) and that cavity that you all told me I had is mysteriously no more. What do ya know? You all should be ashamed. I hope you are...
Read moreI absolutely love Fresh Dental! Every time I visit them, I am confident that i am receiving the very best of professional care. Dr. Ganglani is great! Not only does he provide the utmost in patient care, he takes the time to talk to you about what is going on and what actions you should take. My dental hygienist, Jaime, is friendly, thorough and especially - gentle. I am really glad that I have her to take care of me. Now the office personnel are something else! They are mean and rude and ... I am just kidding. They are sweet and professional in everything that they do.I am so comfortable with them that I feel like part of the family. Yesi, who I just met, will definitely be an asset to the practice. While she was working, she, nevertheless, took time out to talk with me and made me feel quite comfortable while entering the office until I left. Angelica the office manager ... she is something else ... She runs the office so proficiently you can tell things are different from the "normal" dentist's office. It is nice, neat and calm. It is not cluttered and haphazardly run like many offices that I have visited with rude receptionists that think that they are doing you a favor by allowing you to be there. Angelica is friendly, courteous and kind. She is the type of person ... put it this way ... if I had a daughter (Am I that old?) I would like her to be just like Angelica. Yep, I like her that much. And yes, I feel that comfortable at Fresh Dental. Most people hate going to the dentist but I love it! From the time I make my appointment, I look forward to seeing my "family" again. Heck, if my insurance paid for it, I would go to Fresh Dental all of the time ;-) . And for everyone's information, no, I am not an "outside" friend or family member; I am just a satisfied patient who loves Fresh Dental in Concord. If you are not already a patient of their's, give 'em a try; you'll be glad...
