7 Brew Coffee — Restaurant in Harrisonburg

Honestly, this place has really gone downhill. I used to come all the time, but I stopped going as often because my drink was constantly made wrong. Every visit feels slower than the last, long waits just to order, then even longer to actually get my drink. What makes it worse is that you can see right into the glass box. There are usually 5–9 employees inside, but only one seems to actually be taking orders and carrying the place while the rest stand around. For example, when I came by last week it was mostly a group of guys and maybe two girls, and it honestly felt more like a hangout than a workplace. They were paying more attention to each other than to the customers who are literally putting money in their pockets. At one point I even asked one of the guys what the manager’s name was, and he said, “Tayler, do you want me to grab her?” in a snarky tone and then turned around and giggled at his pal. I just “no thanks, just wondering” and was honestly shocked that a manager on duty would allow the drive-thru to operate like that.

When I finally do get service, the staff often come across as short, annoyed, or like customers are a burden. I miss all the old employees who were friendly, welcoming, and efficient. I have been coming to this 7 Brew for years & haven't had any problems until lately. It's a 35 min drive one way for me to just get coffee here. The other day they entered my order in incorrectly so one of my drinks was wrong. I brought it to the girls attention when she gave it to me but she just said "sorry" & didn't offer to remake it. This past Thursday I encounter a guy working around 7:30pm who already seemed miserable as soon as I pulled up. This time I wrote my order down on a sticky note so that they couldn't say i didn't tell them correctly. I ordered 2 large blondies no ice, filled & he brings me out 1 large cup thats half full. I showed him my sticky note while he tried to tell me that wasn't what i ordered. Once he realized he put it in wrong, he went back inside & threw the coffee & remade them. Welcome to Our City of Harrisonburg, Va!!! Music was Blasting .. Extremely too Loud but I guess this is The New Era of serving Coffee!! I couldn't Hear My Order Taker. Also Why are There No Drink Price Lists Available ?? I brought a Small Blondie Coffee $4.50 & a Large Caramel Macchiato $8.50 to get the T-shirt for Free. The Girls were pushy with Tips!! I Hate that especially if it's a Drive Thru! The Staff showed Lots of Friendliness but The Mgr. was Pushing All the Order Takers to Upgrade Customers to Buy Large Drinks that cost $8 & up in order to get a Free T-shirt. This isn't Rogers, AZ it's Harrisonburg, Va. JMU is Here for 6 Mo's. Then You are Stuck with Us Locals which is a Different Mixed World Here.
