Went to Auntie Anne’s for my free birthday pretzel, and they refused to give it to me because I didn’t download the app at least a month before my birthday. I went out of my way to download the app, drive across town to Auntie Anne’s, and was so excited for my free birthday treat. The manager refused to give me the free pretzel, and instead cited corporate policy to me, which was not explicitly advertised. Even with proof of it being my birthday, the app downloaded on my phone, and already purchasing other items during this event, he still refused to offer me the birthday treat.
