Pietros food is not worth the price. After tax it’s about $30 for a large specialty pizza. You can find better value elsewhere for a similar standard pizza joint. Their customer service is appears to be fine, when you go in store to pick up orders, but I have to agree with other commenters that they treat the broader downtown community with disdain and that’s what has turned me off from their business. For example, last week one of the dudes who hands out fliers at Pietros was handing out fliers and yelling "pizza, pizza" at like 10:30 at night, while they were playing loud music with the front door of their store open. It was a weeknight and the place is listed as closing @ 10pm! My boyfriend and I, were like "what the hell, who does that?" We were both in bed. We are both students but also work part-time. I feel like the guys who own this place are two-faced. My boyfriend has complained about the noise before and explained that he can hear it from inside our apartment even with our windows closed. They'll turn it down periodically, but then they crank the music back up within the same hour. It's weird because when you order pizza from them they will act all nice, but they will show no regard at all for those same customers they claim to value, even though their place is right near a college, apartments and condos. There are plenty of professionals (doctors, nurses, lawyers, teachers, scientists, business folks), students and young families around, but they don't seem to care. Many of these people, myself included, do part, or all of their work from home. If you are going to play music so loud that people can hear it in their own home regardless of whether their windows are closed or not, would it not be courteous of you to close the front door to your business? Other people are working too and your music is negatively impacting them. If we are studying for mid-terms should we not be able to do so in peace from the comfort of our own home? I truly do not understand how people can be so...
Read moreI went to Pietro’s Pizza with my friend Chastin, and we were both seriously impressed with how good the food was. From start to finish, everything we ordered hit the spot.
My friend started with a salad — simple, but done right. The pizza was the real star though. You could tell it was made fresh and with care. We ended the meal with zeppoli, and wow… they were warm, fluffy, and dusted with just the right amount of sugar. Absolutely addictive.
The food came out hot, the portions were generous, and everything just tasted right. Pietro’s Pizza definitely knows how to serve up comfort food with quality. I’ll be back for sure

Update: my job drops me off right in downtown and oh boy I AM ADDICTED to this place. I have gotten food here sooo many times since that last review. I’ve tried their mozzarella sticks, (favorite mozzarella sticks I’ve ever had), I also tried their buffalo ranch fries THE CHICKEN IS SOOO GOODDD, my mouth waters every-time I order it. And my boyfriend is obsessed with their cakes, especially the red velvet one, so he makes sure I get one for him each time.
I highly recommend this place… please go! The staff are always so sweet, the pricing is fair, the atmosphere is great, there’s not one reason you SHOULDN’T come...
Read moreIf you’re looking for an honest review of Pietro’s as far as pizza is concerned here you go.ordered a Pietro’s special tonight for delivery. The man who answered the phone to take the order was kind and professional, the pie arrived hot, all topping were on the pizza as advertised. But let’s be honest here. This is an average pizza with nothing that stands out or makes you say I love their pizza. It’s not bad, it’s not terrible….it’s just pizza! A little pricy in my opinion but I know the cost of everything has gone up so that’s not surprising. Although! Pizza is one of the cheapest things to make so to charge a price similar to other places that are a staple in the Connecticut pizza buisness is a little much to ask. Try it out for yourself I’d say only suggestion for if you do try it ask for it well done as it was a bit flimsy and in my opinion, I like my pie welllllll done like New Haven pizza style, not cooked long enough. Hope this was an accurate review for anyone reading this and feel free to leave you’re thoughts below. I’m not a good reviewer just a guy who tried a pizza and figured I’d give my...
