BEWARE VERY BAD FROZEN FOOD!! RATING SHOULD BE (-9)
We called in the take out order , our 1st and LAST! ILL DRIVE 35 MILES ROUND TRIP TO BATTLE CREEK FOR NOW ON!! As my wife walked in I noticed the dirty windows, snow shovel on the floor, its JULY!!!! salt stains on windows some 4 months after last snow. GUESS THEY CLEAN EVERY 5 MONTHS
Ordered Mongolian beef and it was very bland. Kitchen added frozen yellowish fried rice to my meal instead of white rice WFT!!!. I guess making fresh rice is to much to ask. PEAS, CARROTS AND MEAT LIKE CUBES WERE STILL FROZEN, OTHER MEAT WAS SOGGY AND COLD AND IT WAS ALL MIXED TOGETHER WITH THE RICE!
I made fresh rice when I got home and tried to save the beef. but the nasty beef was coated in hard peas, carrots and meat like cubes from the frozen rice mix. so I had to spit out all the hard chunks. after a few mins I didn't feel like eating anymore.
Wife had chicken fried rice, she took 1 bite and spit it out. Called and told them about the food NICELY, and after a 15 min. go around they said drive the 10 miles 1 way back today with the food and we will give you a full refund.
WELL NOT ONLY DOES THERE FOOD SUCK, THEY ARE LIERS. AFTER 10 MIN ARGUEMENT OVER $8 IN THERE EMPTY RESTAURANT AND LISTENING TO ALL THE SCREAMING IN THE KITCHEN WE GOT 1/2 OUR MONEY BACK.
6PM ON A FRIDAY AND NOBODY THERE THAT SAYS IT ALL!! WISH I HAD GOOGLED THIS PLACE 1ST.
IF I DONT GET SICK FROM WHAT I DID EAT, ILL...
Read moreI used to live in Hastings and then moved to Middleville. When I was younger this was the place. If dinner wasn’t made, Dynasty. Craving Chinese? Dynasty. You get the point. After spending time away and trying different Chinese restaurants I can fairly confidently say that this place is still the same. It’s what’d you expect with nothing more or nothing less.
The host at the front was polite and did the normal things like asking if I wanted more sauce and such. At the time I thought he meant sweet and sour sauce but he could’ve been referring to the sesame sauce. I didn’t ask to specify.
Regarding the food, it was okay. I’ve had better from Chinese restaurants in Kentwood. I don’t mean this harshly, but as an overall evaluation. The sesame chicken could use a little more spice and that umami taste you want from sesame chicken. The portion was good, but again I have received easily 1.5x-2x more for about the same price from other Chinese restaurants. I enjoy my sesame chicken to have a large amount of sauce included with because sesame sauce mixed in with rice is up there in some of the best things ever and there seemed to be little sauce in the container with the chicken.
I would return to eat again and possibly try other items but my expectations moving forward are lower than I would like. Maybe another visit...
Read moreI went into the place skeptically, not knowing what to expect. From the outside it didn't look like much but getting inside it was a warm, homey feeling. The waiters were very nice and friendly. The food is exactly what you would expect from a Chinese Buffet. Nothing more, nothing less. It was all really good and tasted freshish. As fresh as a buffet will be. I found nothing to be cold that wasn't supposed to be. The atmosphere was really the star for me. The kids running around, talking and laughing, and just an overall good feeling to the place. Even the waiters were smiling at the kids being kids. That being said if you are a Karen or Kevin and can't stand kids, it's in your best interest to stay away. It felt like everyone was happy and comfortable there. (This was my first and won't be only experience there. The kids may be something that comes and goes with the people eating there as they were not associated with any...
