Mancino's Pizza & Grinders — Restaurant in Hastings

So we loved Mancinos for the longest time! This last time was shocking! We had a bigger order than normal we had people Ober that wanted to order as well so we put it all on 1 order so we didn't confuse the workers and do multiple order for 1 place. We were just over $100, then we asked for a total. The girl came back on the phone after ringing it up, she proceeded to tell me that any order over $100 they automatically charge a 20% gratuity, no question! So no delivery, no walking it out to my car just make the food and I come to get it. I'm confused as to why you are just taking my money for a tip. If I spent $99 they wouldn't have charged me that. Now we are great tippers and we always tip. However we tip on the experience, our feelings on how they handled our order, friendliness, good food or just blessing someone it all just depends. We could have possibly paid more that day because it was multiple orders. We were all floored that they just took what they wanted automatically, we didn't tip any more. Why oh why would a restaurant just up and automatically take there own gratuity like that? If we split the orders up we wouldn't have had to pay it and still the same amount of work just very disrespectful...

Ordered two grinders, Wifes came out fine, but seems my order got scuffed entirely. Asked for no Lettuce, Tomato, Mushroom, and Mayo, only thing taken off was the Mushrooms. They did add the pepperoni as requested though.

Id go back, but its 20 minutes one way for me, and I already torched my lunch break going there whilst working from home, and I really dont want to be THAT person who occupies a table to inspect their takeout order like some kind of Food TSA.

Honestly, its not even an allergy thing, I just cant stand mayo, I can pick lettuce and tomato off sure but Mayo soaks into the bread and whatnot. Accidents happen, I get it, but this makes it inedible for me sadly.

They did offer to remake it but thats not a possibility due to time constraints, I would need it delivered. They say the boss will reach out to me since their "Contact Me" doesnt work on their site, so I'll update the review afterwards. I dont usually have time/the ability to go here often, so this was a major disappointment, and probably wont go back unless I have the time to sit and eat instead so I can check my order...

Terrible service...waited 35 minutes for them to then tell me what I ordered they couldnt make because they were out did I want something else! Had 5 young kids by themselves more worried about what the lady in the parking lot was doing than doing their job. When asked for a refund had to wait for the manager...which then told me I would have to call a number and wait for a call back to get a refund for food I did not get. I told her we can call that number now together and luckily she got ahold of whoever could approve for me to get my money back! Not a way to run a business...why have 6 on staff when there was only 1 oyher pickup while we were there but cant get food out!....why did it take 35 minutes for them to tell me they couldnt make the sandwich?! I get the same thing at every mancinos location and have never had such terrible service or incompetent people! Its not the fact that they didnt have what I ordered, its that they let me waste 35 mins sitting there before saying ANYTHING and as an owner if you dont think thats poor service than I understand where...
