Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Hattiesburg

I was leaving the Turtle Creek mall at about 8:15 p.m. and I decided to get a medium pizza from the #038179 location. I entered and waited a few minutes at the cashier area. A man who I see, from my receipt, is named Adrian, took my order. He acted not, unfriendly ,but somewhat, indifferent, as if I were just, more work for him. I ordered a medium one topping pizza, and a salad. I told him I would eat salad, until my pizza was ready. Mind you, Adrian did not specify anything about the fact, I could not take more than one trip to the salad bar. I had to ask another worker for a fork, even though Adrian should have given me one with my plate. I sat down and took 5-6 bites of my salad and went to add more lettuce and dressing. He came up behind me and said, you are going to have to pay another eight dollars for adding to that tray. I had already paid $23 dollars plus $2 more for a tip. I told him he did not specify it was a one trip only bar. I told him I didnt mind paying a few more dollars for the refill of my 5-6 bites. He said, "NO" you have to pay $8 for an entire new salad. I told him I already paid $25 for very little food and I wasnt going to pay even more. I told him he should have specified or accepted $3 or $4 more for adding a little to my tray. He said, " I will refund your money and keep your pizza and salad." He then took my salad and threw it in the garbage can. I told him he has lost my business, and that he is the most unprofessional pizza hut worker I have ever known. Can someone please teach this man how to treat customers with respect, and let them know the procedures and policies, before they are not following them. I had no clue I could not add to my salad tray, after paying $25. I would not advise anyone wanting Pizza Hut pizza, to go to Adrian for service, at the 580 Weathersby location. Find a location that has friendly and cooperative staff. I would advise Adrian to take some sensitivity workshops. Ordered my food online, pulled up to the store and waited a few more minutes before I drove around to the window being that I was really tired and did not want to get out of the car. When I pulled up to the window there was an employee with a cigarette in her ear and the other young lady took her time coming to the window. After I gave my name to the employee that took her time to get to the window I asked the other employee did she know she had a cigarette in her ear she replied “yes, I didn’t get to smoke it yet, but I’m about you go and smoke it now”. I started to ask for a refund but I thought they had very bad attitudes and I didn’t want any trouble. The other employee told me it would be a couple of minutes for my pizza to come out, I asked nicely how much longer did she think it would be, she explained to me that it’s a process it’s halfway through the oven. I waited a little longer AT THE WINDOW AFTER I HAD ALREADY ORDERED ONLINE! I had an entire conversation with someone while waiting! I then drove around to the front of the store where the girl with the cigarette in her ear was sitting in the car with a guy and the other was out of my site. I asked the guy standing at the register may I pickup my order, he asked for my name. He went to the warmer where it had been sitting all along. I’m informing customers that this is not the place to go and get something to eat. There’s no telling what will happen. I’m sure an employee with a cigarette in her ear this place probably isn’t sanitary at all. Workers should take pride in what they do when it comes to working with food. The good: The pizza was very good and fresh. The bad: When we walked into the restaurant, it was very nasty. We tried to eat in the small room to the side but the tables were covered in pizza boxes and other crap. We went out into the main dining area, and there was a table covered in dirty plates, old pizza, napkins, and a tip. I know that someone had time to clean the table because the girl running the register was just standing there when we walked in. She was also just standing there after she took our order. There were 2 other tables occupied, but they were not busy at all. Someone had time to clean up around the restaurant. Finally a guy came from outside, I'm assuming off of break, and acted surprised that the table with all of the trash and plates had not been cleaned. He cleaned the table, but was dressed very slouchy. His pants were baggy, and his shirt was ill fitting. They were also out of lettuce for the salad bar. Someone could have run to Walmart or another pizza hut and picked up a bag of lettuce. As we were leaving, there was another worker standing in a corner by the door on his phone. He was also dressed slouchy. The whole crew seemed very unprofessional, nonchalant, and like they all need to find a different line of work. They were also smoking by the entrance.
