bb.q Chicken Aiea — Restaurant in Hawaii

Not much to say about the food except great things. I had their food at other locations and its great chicken. But am just leaving a 1 star review at this location about an unfortunate service experience today around 4:30 PM when I called them. This will serve as a warning(?) for people who might call this location's number for an inquiry or complaint.

Now admittedly I did ramble a lot about a very complex dispute about an order from this location that I've been trying to resolve on Uber's end which I doubt was this place's fault but I am just trying to gather information and thought I'd give a call... This was my first time calling mind you. How wrong I was because I think I might have scared the wind out of someone with my very non aggressive nor loud voice. Maybe they thought they aren't being paid enough to deal with my 1 minute of yapping? Just sucks to get someone on the phone who just suddenly blocks your number 1 minute into your explanation with no warning whatsoever. I honestly gaslit myself thinking my phone must have been acting up but I confirmed I was blocked when I tried calling again. Uhhh okay? Heck, I would agree that I wouldn't have wanted to hear all that from myself but have people no manners? Sorry for the vent and I just hope whoever picked up that call just has a little more empathy and... not suddenly block people because I would have much preferred being interrupted than suddenly blocked like that. UPDATE: Unfortunately I must downgrade my review for issues I have consistently experienced during my recent orders. I have received the incorrect side order multiple times, that I paid extra for. Furthermore, the quality of the chicken has gone down. Some parts are overly cooked, resulting in an extremely tough, fibrous texture. Also, the cut of chicken has gone down. The size of the pieces has decreased significantly. My most recent order contained approx. 3-4x as much batter as meat. Certainly not the best quality, let alone "best of the best" that this chain is known for. Finally on multiple items I have received, the sauce only coated about 30% of the overall chicken. I'm really disappointed and will not be going to this location any more due to these issues.

O' by the holy lords of chicken, I have been blessed. For I have ingested the most delicious chicken that can be found on this floating rock. If you love yourself, get this chicken. If you hate yourself, get this chicken, and you will then love yourself. You will find no juicer, more flavorful, or perfectly textured chicken. Seriously, get. this. chicken. This chicken is so good, I lost my damn mind.

Question: how can a Korean chicken place have a better mac salad than most of Hawaii? This...

The food was absolutely amazing. We got the galbi wings, garlic honey wings, cheesling fries and the new creamy cheese balls. The texture of the wings was incredible. Very crispy and the sauce didn't make the wings soggy at all. The sauce ration on the wings was perfect. It wasn't over powering but not under seasoned either. Some of the best wings I've eaten on island. The fries were also very good. Great texture and seasoned very well. Not soggy or greasy either. The new creamy cheese balls were a but underwhelming however. They were interesting to say the least. They had a slight sweetness to them and the testure wasn't the best. They are worth trying at least once but not our favorite.

They have a list of common allergens and which items contain certain ingredients. I have not seen this in most restaurants and it was very nice to see.

The atmosphere was nice. A bit small for the location but still had a lot of seating and temperature was comfortable and not too cold. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly and professional. Always great to see. Sounds like they really enjoied their job as well because we heard quite a bit of laughter. Great atmosphere overall.
