A locally owned rolled ice cream shop in the heart of downtown hilo, how perfect! My grandma, boyfriend and I checked out Chillville not too long ago and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The experience started when (what we thought was either) the owner's young daughter or niece opened the door for us! She was so cuteand had such good manners! The owner was also very nice to us and walked us through the process and even gave us complimentary waterbottles as we sat and enjoyed our ice cream in shop. As for the ice cream, they gave a hefty amount! Depending on what they're going for, if they put a little less base, the ice cream might be easier to roll and maybe a little more flaky. Anyhow the flavors were rich and tasty! I ordered the apple pie with cinnamon toast crunch as a topper and it was delicious! Service, 5...

Chillville is absolutely our favorite spot for a sweet treat in downtown Hilo! The location is great and it's such a perfect destination for an after-school or weekend outing with the kids. My kids are always stoked when we tell them we're headed to Chillville! They love the entire experience, especially getting to customize their own rolled ice cream with tons of mix-ins and toppings.
