Dick’s Lechon — Restaurant in Hawaii

REVIEW STRICTLY FOR THE FOOD SERVED AT THE 2023 HONOLULU HALE CHRISTMAS PARADE: We remembered this place from last years Christmas parade, so I already knew I wanted to get food from them because the food I got for my other half was great. Unfortunately, this time around, the food was SEVERLY overpriced. We got lechon fried rice, lechon pancit, a super combo, and two types of lumpia. Both the lechon fried rice and lechon pancit were in a mini sized container. It looked like the lechon was a GARNISH rather than an actual serving. For $18? It looked like $10 worth of food. The lumpia was very skinny, and the banana in the banana lumpia texture and taste was like it needed a little more time to ripen. At $2 a piece? I expected more. The serving size of pancit and rice in the super combo should've had the meat serving to match the $30 price tag. Due to feeling ripped off, the flavor was meh 6/10. Inviting atmosphere with minimal customer service.

First off, employee assumed I was done ordering and gave me my total too soon before I could add more. Second, I was not notified that there were no utensils included with the order. Mind you, it’s a take out service that most people will want to enjoy immediately vs take home. Also I feel the prices are too jacked for me to not get any utensils at all…

When called to ask about utensils, they told me I should ask for them and I informed them, that from now on to eliminate this issue they should start “ASKING” the customer if they need them or not if that is the case.

Now, as far as the food goes…portions are small, and it was way too oily. Finished my plate still hungry. I’ve had Filipino food for the same amount of money with way more...

Filipina woman about early 30's or late 30's got a bad bad attitude when I asked, what is Crispy Dinuguan, she pounding the cash register, it's not a crime to ask question,,,then she started to talk to the old lady probably the cook or preparer. I could understand what she was saying to the old lady bur I just can't speak it. My husband who is a Law Enforcement told her off right of the bat. I wouldn't recommend this truck to all my relatives living down this side. If she's having a bad day, for any reason she shouldn't acted the way she did.
