HI Steaks Ka Makana Ali'i — Restaurant in Hawaii

I ordered the steak plate with steak fried rice and tossed salad and garlic butter sauce. Then we walked around Foodland a little while we waited for the food. When we came back we saw our food waiting on the side all packaged up. So we grabbed the bag and drove home. I was expecting a delicious steak since I heard it was so good. When we got home and started eating we noticed there was no garlic butter sauce. I guess the sauce has all the flavor because the steak had none. I was really disappointed so my wife called them and they just said to "come back". No apology at all from them especially when we asked for an extra garlic butter sauce but didn't want to pay $2.00 extra. Tossed salad was a mistake also but for the most part I did like the steak fried rice. Hardly worth $15.00 a plate for a scoop of fried rice, a few tasteless pieces of meat and some hard green leafy stuff I couldn't eat. Recommend they have someone checking the orders before they tie up package to make sure people get what they order and don't need to tell people...

Do yourself a favor and don't go here! I wish I had checked the reviews first before eating from this place. I got a regular steak plate with chimichurri. At first look, you can tell it's poor quality steak and it didn't taste seasoned at all. The steak was chewy and tough especially since it was more on the medium rare side. As for the rice, it wasn't too bad just slightly hard on the top layer but there were more soft spots in the middle section of the scoops. The chimichurri sauce is probably the only thing that wasn't messed up. For a $20 plate, NOT WORTH IT!! They didn't even give me the potatoes that I ordered and instead of asking if I wanted something else they decided to just give me an extra scoop of rice. Despite the reviews, if you still order from here and order steak, please at least order it well done. Don't walk, RUN away...

This is not the first time I’ve had issues with my order. The first time I ordered through a food delivery app and ordered their loco Moco. They gave the wrong kind of egg and rice. 2nd time, I ordered a steak and shrimp plate near closing time. I was in person to order it and they bagged it up for me and I went on my way. When I got home I found that they didn’t even put the steak in there. And by then they were closed so I couldn’t take it back. Now today, I ordered through a food delivery app and ordered a steak bowl with spicy tofu, cucumbers and choysum. The steak wasn’t that good, the spicy tofu tasted like it wasn’t fresh and the cucumber were soggy. Very disappointed! I won’t be ordering...
