We’ve found our go-to spot in Waimea: Jade Palace, where the food hits the spot, the service is fast and friendly, and feeding a hungry group doesn’t break the bank.

We walked in with a party of six—no reservation, no wait. They sat us right away (huge bonus points), and parking was a breeze. Gotta love a place that’s both convenient and delicious.

Our usual? The Family Dinner for 4—and yes, it fed all six of us with ease. We ordered:

We usually order the Family Dinner for Four, and without fail, it comfortably feeds all seven of us — with leftovers to spare! The portions are incredibly generous, and the price is more than fair for the quality and quantity you get.

Our kids absolutely love the orange chicken — crispy, tangy, and not overly sweet — and the salt and pepper fish, which is always fresh and perfectly seasoned. We never skip the beef and broccoli, a staple dish that’s savory, tender, and full of flavor. Their egg drop soup is also a hit — simple, comforting, and well-balanced.

Started out with rude customer service, unfriendlytone (like they don't enjoy their job), told us they couldn't seat us on 1 of 3 of their large tables because it was reserved. So my family and I made 6 people fit on a 5 person table plus all of our dishes. There was no room for any more plates even if we wanted to order more. They kept staring at us, probably because we did not let their rudeness stop us from having a family meal together. Two other parties that arrived after us, got their food before us. Long story short, some time after we finally started eating another party came in and asked if they would be able to get a table, the worker told them they could sit any where, and sat them at the table that was "reserved".
