Royal Scoop — Restaurant in Maui

We had mixed experiences at this shop. The ice cream was absolutely DELICIOUS!! Some of the best coconut ice cream I have ever had and the Kona combination flavor was also divine. The coffee was pretty good, but not amazing. But when we had to eat there for lunch during a storm we were very disappointed with the food. I had a chicken caesar salad and the flavor was fine but the chicken was extremely chewy. My husband had a tuna sandwich that he also said was just ok. And then of course, everything is expensive. We ordered coffee most mornings and they were pretty good. They also have a decent array of breakfast pastries which was nice for a quick bite. Much better than the restaurant’s coffee! (I hate to even compare). edit I retract my last parentheses statement… I had an Irish coffee at the restaurant and it was pretty good. The main thing I didn’t like about their coffee is that it was nutty flavored when I had it.

I am very late to write my review, but given the situation in Maui and the devastation left by the fires, I wanted to take time to review all the wonderful places we visited in August.
