This location deserves no stars but this app gave me no choice(5221 Rosecrans Ave, Hawthorne, CA) provided bad customer service. This was my 1st visit as a transition from Pizza Rev since Pizza Rev is out of business and left me no choice but to go to Blaze. I ordered the "Take Two" from their menu, which consists of: half pizza+side salad or 4 dough knots. I ordered half pizza & side salad. The staff member taking my order stated that they are only serving pre-made caesar salad. I stated to staff member that I am allergic to ingredients in the caesar salad and would like to build my own salad considering that all ingredients I want are presented in front of me (spinach, tomatoes, olives, mushrooms & onions) Staff proceeded to enforce that they only have caesar salad & can't make such salad for me due to corporate. I immediately asked for a manager on duty. Manager arrived & stated the same exact thing staff member told me. At this point I was very frustrated & kindly just said to give me half pizza with dough knots instead & 1 smore. There were 5 people ahead of me who all received their orders, and I was excited to be next at! at this point 15 minutes has passed & still nothing 😒....I started noticing that the people who ordered after me with big family orders received their order so at this point I walked up to a staff member and asked why is it taking long to give me my half pizza & dough knots? Staff spoke to co worker handing out pizzas & that staff member asked me for my name and I stated my name. He said "Oh, your pizza is here, sorry about that!" as he points to a pizza that has been sitting in front of him the whole time getting cold and turns and motions another staff member to put new dough knots in the oven due to previous ones taken out got burned....at this point I lost my appetite from being frustrated & annoyed from my experience & stepped outside to speak to my boyfriend who was waiting in the car, to process my feelings from the bad experience I was enduring. My boyfriend encouraged me to just cancel my order and get my money back and just order food from restaurant he had ordered from while waiting for me in the car. I went back in & got my money refunded back to my debit card and left very disappointed 😞 as I will never return to this Blaze location ever! Next time I decide to go to another Blaze location, I will order a pizza with no dough & marinara sauce in order to have a salad...

The guy at the front of the order process mumbled and was difficult to understand. He also didn’t seem to make any eye contact either. With covid masks on, it makes acknowledging people a bit more difficult, which is why contact is helpful when we are all wearing masks. Right? I tell the person my order and he wrote down the wrong thing. Happens. I said something before it went too far along. Which is meant that I have to restart the whole ordering process.
Then because I want Jalapeños on my pizza it becomes a big deal. “Sir it won’t be a white top pizza any more, it will be a “build-your-own pizza now, DID YOU KNOW THAT!?”
Sadly, no, I didn’t know that. But I still want the jalapeños, is that okay?
It seemed to be a chore for sure.
Once arriving at the cashier, it was a whole new ordeal. Lots of flustering through tickets. And it wasn’t that busy either. The cashier didn’t make eye contact. Mumbled . And was unclear about what my order was. I had to ask her to repeat if several times . And because her head was down, I was unable to understand her. Asking for clarity seemed to be upsetting her. So she shrugged her shoulders and gave a lazy belabored response. When my wife asked for pizza sauce for our cheese sticks, it became too much for her, “They are already included. You’ll get them in the box when it comes out.” How did I know she was upset? Because it was the only time I could actually hear her voice and understand her speaking. Something had to of shifted for her in the conversation to speak up and loudly like that.
Then, once our order came, we got someone’s order.

I love their healthy and conscientious menu without any artificial colors, flavors, or additives. Their light, airy pizza dough is made fresh daily and without ever being frozen. You can BUILD YOUR OWN PIZZA (one or two topping) or choose from their signature pizzas. Your choice of sauces (original red, spicy red, white cream, or garlic pesto). You also can choose your cheese (or not for vegans), veggies, meats, as well as additional finishes such as balsamic glaze, bbq sauce, or even buffalo sauce.
SIGNATURE PIZZAS include: Red vine (Mozzarella&cherry tomatoes), BBQ Chicken, Art Lover (artichokes & cheese), Meat lover (pepperoni, meatballs & red onion), Green stripe (pesto&peppers), Veg out, Link in (sausage&pepeprs). I ordered the Meat lover minus the red onions and they were kind enough to only charge as 2 topping pizza and not as a signature pizza (save that money!). The Italian meatball was so good and I just plucked that right into my mouth.
I did enjoy the options of the AGUA FRESCAS (strawberry or mango) versus the soda machine that's also available. My mother in law happens to make the best agua frescas and these just tasted very watered down. Definitely need working on producing a more refreshing fruity flavors, that would be my only critique for the restaurant.
Overall, great assembly line concept for a healthier version of a staple (PIZZA). I shall come back next time I'm craving pizza and make sure the aqua frescas have...
