Went to Ding Tea and ordered 2 drinks. One was for me and the other my daughter. I ordered the Large Taro Mash up tea with egg pudding, easy boba, and foam topping. It usually takes me a couple of hours to drink it. I was ready to slurp all the good stuff at the bottom of my drink when I noticed it wasn’t coming the straw. I tore a slit in the top and used my straw to pick up what was at the bottom. To my disgust and disappointment there was a napkin or paper or something to that sort in the drink. It looks moldy old… I am so sick to my stomach. My daughter called the store, and the young lady who answered was not very friendly and you could tell she was never taught what good customer service is. We requested for the manager or owner to return our call immediately. They said they would relay the message. Two or three minutes later a gentleman calls and says that “we will not be able to help you. You were belligerent when you were talking to our staff and you’re causing us emotional distress and we can’t do anything to help you if you wanna come back and buy another drink you can do that”. He said we were making the complaint to the wrong shift and if we wanted help, we should come back at that time. He said he was not going to relay the message and then turned around and said he would relay the message. I don’t trust that he will. So this is why I have to write this review. He was rude and condescending. I asked him several times for him to give me his name and he refused. I told him I just wanted to talk to a manager about the situation. I have had the pleasure of running multi million dollar companies and I am currently a Director of HR. There would be absolutely no way I would allow any of my employees to talk to the customers the way he did tonight. He definitely needs a PIP or write up. I will be contacting my lawyer if I do not hear from the Manager by...

The Baseline: For bubble tea cafes the drinks must have the proper temperature for the drink, suitably firm tapioca pearls, and the drink must be quality.
Food: The boba drinks are awesome and I can’t think of one bad drink I have ever had here. They will adjust your ice and sugar levels. Also use you phone number for your points to get free tea.
Service: The staff at Ding Tea are awesome, friendly, and quick on prepping drinks. Love the staff!
Ambience: Quick in and out servicing so you can get you boba tea.
Ding Tea is a great chain to pick up your boba. I have personal favorites being the Thai Tea and the Sea Foam Coffee. I hate it when the coffee is out or the equipment is down but it has let me figure out my back ups go to drinks. The staff is friendly and efficient in getting drinks out. I use the phone number check in to constantly build up points to get free drinks. I am going to stay a constant customer of the Ding Tea on Rosecrans.
Update: I love the...
Read moreFirst time trying Ding Tea and was super impressed. My 9YO has been on a boba kick lately and the one nearest our house sadly closed down on 12/29! So we've been looking for another replacement and tried 3 different boba shops in the New Year, with each one a disappointed and defeated 9YO. Ding Tea was across the street from Costco where I frequent (more often than I'd like to admit!) and we stopped there. The place was packed on a Wednesday evening. Employees were super courteous and helpful, and answered my 9YO's questions professionally (he asked how many OREO cookies came in the smoothie haha!) and he proceeded to order his OREO with boba. First slurp and the boy's eyes lit up! Winner!!! He said it was even better than his favorite spot that just closed down (RIP Preso Tea)!! YAY!
We will be back again (because you know, Costco). So thanks for a great first experience!...
