Starbucks — Restaurant in Hawthorne

Very weird atmosphere here. I came through the drive-thru like I usually do during the week when a light skinned Black girl with dark hair by the name of Rivanh or something like that…she came at us very rudely through the intercom. She kept talking over my dad and would hardly let him finish our order. We’ve been through this drive thru a ton of times and never had this happen or encountered this woman. Once we reached the window, she forgot what our drink was and kept staring at us, making faces, and turning to talk to a short Hispanic female with extremely long lash extensions who was making our drink. I understand that she was probably new and didn’t know what she was doing but she was talking to the other female barista about 100 miles per hour about nothing and getting our stuff wrong. We were watching the drink be made when the light skinned Black girl decided to block our view and then she handed us our stuff. And proceeded to gossip with the other barista. Is a professional environment old school now? I don’t get this and do not feel comfortable with her making any of my drinks in the future. I will be spending my hard earned...

First when I came in, there was nobody at the register so I had to wait 5 minutes. I asked the lady that was taking orders from the drive through if i can get assistance. Dlyan ran from the back took my order with attitude. I Got my coffee, sugar & the steam cream mixed all up. Come find out the coffee was cold. I told Dylan the coffee is cold. She was like we Doubled the cup 😂 fyi some Starbucks when u ask extra hot, they will put double cup so u don’t feel the hottness. In mind, I said to my self I didn’t start drinking coffee yesterday. She was like can u wait like 3 to 5 minutes to brew a new coffee. I told her I don’t have time wait. I have load I need to deliver in Vegas tonight. I said can u give me a americano instead. She was like I gotta charge u the difference 🤦‍♂️🤣 Other Starbucks if the coffee is cold or if they don’t have it. They will offer u americano. What a horrible customer service!!! The barista at register was nice. The one at hand-off was too soft spoken. No one could hear her when she was calling out drinks. Not mad about it, but def something to work on.

The low rating is due to the extreme lack of food items and drink components. Nearly no teas; no food besides a handful of pastries and 1 sandwich. I appreciated that the barista at least double checked. Very courteous.

The cold brew was VERY bitter. I think whoever prepped it left the batch brewing well past 24 hours, which oversteeps the grounds, producing the bad taste.

Overall, the store seems very poorly managed, as is apparent by other negative reviews.

I will note that I don’t blame the baristas. They seem to be doing the best they can under such circumstances. I blame the manager and the company for badly allocating resources and not trying to improve their business.
