Grocery Outlet — Local services in Inglewood

I felt it was necessary to share my interaction with the manager of this store (I believe he recently took over, because there was previously a different night manager). Justin is incredibly efficient at his job, while maintaining a welcoming and positive demeanor! (In my case, I was the one who made a silly error), but Justin made me feel completely guilt free, did NOT act irritated whatsoever, and went out of his way to make sure I left happy and smiling. I am from Compton, and will make sure to come do my shopping at this location all the time from now on! I love grocery outlet and do the majority of my shopping there, however I have always sensed an unfriendly vibe in the stores which is unfortunate because there are some great deals! This review is solely for Justin, to make sure he gets the proper acknowledgement he deserves, and that he is treated well so that he will stick around for a long time, he is a rare gem, and truly knows how to make a great impression on his customers and has the mix of social and business skills that have been much needed at grocery outlets for so long! The cashier who helped me during this shopping trip was also terrific! What ever changes are being made at this store, are truly going in the right direction!...

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS LOCATION until they start treating their customers like they’re not thieves. I went there today to spend money at this location and right when I walked in the door, the cashier yelled from the register for me to leave my plastic bag (which contained my sons slacks that he’s wearing to prom) at the front door on the floor. I was immediately offended by this type of racial profiling. I took my sons pants out the bag and carried them because I was not about to leave his slacks unattended on the floor near the front door. I tried to shop but I couldn’t find myself to spend my hard earned money in a store that treats its customers like they’re thieves. This type of racial profiling needs to stop. This only happens in urban areas. We shouldn’t be apart of their loss prevention strategy. They need to hire a loss prevention team and leave us paying customers alone. I left the store and went straight to Food 4 Less and was treated with respect. I would highly recommend others to shop at this store as our family does 3 times a week. We have been shopping here since they first opened several years ago. It really is a one-stop-shop. The staff and owners are just amazing! It is rare to find such great customer service these days.They are so welcoming, helpful and professional in this particular market. If you ask them for an item that you love, they will do their best to get more of that item or apologize that they can no longer get it. We were Trader Joe people until this store moved into the neighborhood. Now we shop here 3 times a week and trader joe once a month. It's exciting shopping here because you never know what great deals and new items that you are going to find each week! You better grab the items at that time because you might not see them again for months if ever. I buy organic meats/foods, winter coats each year at Christmas for my 3 adult sons, toys for my grand kids for birthdays, items for my home, kitchen specialty items, toiletries and cleaning products at great prices.
