I have been to this seafood joint many times but it has been a while since I have gone because I moved from the area. I honestly have never had a problem with the service provided or with the food. Today when I went in I ordered a 40 piece medium shrimp with a side of rice and beans and 15 jumbo shrimp. I was charged 47.50. I would like to specifically point out that the man who served me, looks as though he may be management, had a very negative energy which is not a way to get people to want to buy what your selling. When he gave me my container of food I noticed that I did not have the side of rice. I went back in to ask the man about the rice and he claimed the rice was in the box. I took his word which is my fault, and when I arrived home more than an hour and an half away from the seafood place, the rice was not in the box. That is very rude to straight up lie right to a persons face who just supported your business. Now he is not to be trusted. He intentionally lied about the rice being in the box. That is terrible customer service and horrible business smh. Like other reviews have mentioned, this particular place of business is not an honest place. I will no longer be supporting his business but I wish him nothing...
Read moreVery rude and very bad customer service. Been eating at this place for over 15 years and never experienced such bad attitude from the lady cashier. She handed me my order. Before I could ask for any condiments she said everything is inside. I checked to see if everything was inside and it wasn’t. She left me there for 3 full mins waiting to tell her what I needed. Then had an attitude and walked away when I explained to her That was rude. When I asked for my money back she took a picture of me and said she didn’t give a f about her attitude just never come back. Business that don’t respect the community should not get the community support. Whitehurst will soon go down the drain with that type of attitude towards...
Read moreI stopped going to Whitehurst YEARS ago. They used to be in the eyeglass building next to where they are now. They were very friendly, and their fish was ALWAYS on point. One year around Christmas time something really bad happened there. Not sure if they got robbed, but I believe someone was shot in there. Don't know if it was a customer or employee, but that's when everything changed. Maybe they got new owners or something. They've been rude every since. I LOVE their fish, but there are other good fish places nearby. After I was treated so rudely the first time, I NEVER went back, and you shouldn't either. NO RESPECT, NO BUSINESS!!! Try Angel Fish on century and Hawthorne. VERY respectful and their food...
