Parallel 47 stands out as a premier dining destination in the Coeur d'Alene-Hayden area, offering an unparalleled blend of casual elegance and fine dining.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The ambiance, highlighted by an inviting patio and live music (Sam), set a sophisticated yet relaxed tone. The staff’s warm hospitality began with a friendly greeting at the hostess stand and continued throughout the evening.
Chef Joe’s culinary artistry is the centerpiece of the dining experience. Every dish was meticulously prepared, showcasing an impressive depth of flavor and presentation. The service was equally outstanding. Kate, our server for the evening, exemplified attentive and thoughtful service, ensuring we felt well-cared-for throughout the meal. She is absolutely amazing and I recommend you request her section!
The management team, including Jenna and the exceptionally courteous Nick, further enhanced our experience with their genuine engagement. Made us feel like we were at home and as if we were family.
A notable aspect of our visit was the exceptional leadership and personal warmth demonstrated by James, the owner of Parallel 47. From the moment James greeted us, it was clear that he is not only a skilled restaurateur but also a genuinely caring individual. His personal visit to our table, where he engaged in sincere conversation and extended a welcoming handshake, highlighted his deep commitment to both his patrons and the success of his restaurant.
James’s influence is evident in the seamless operation of the restaurant. The staff’s high morale and professionalism reflect his effective management style and supportive leadership. His commitment to inclusivity is particularly noteworthy. Parallel 47 has a thoughtful system for non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring clear labeling to prevent any confusion. This consideration is a testament to James’s understanding and dedication to accommodating all guests.
As just mentioned, an important noteworthy detail for those with specific dietary needs: Parallel 47 has a robust system in place for non-alcoholic beverages, clearly marking these drinks to prevent any confusion. This consideration, especially meaningful to those who abstain from alcohol, underscores the restaurant’s dedication to all patrons. This is especially important to me, being sober for over a decade, yet still able to enjoy a non-alcoholic beer/drink.
In sum, Parallel 47 excels in every aspect, from its vibrant ambiance and top-notch service to its exquisite cuisine. For anyone seeking a refined yet approachable dining experience, Parallel 47 is a standout choice, making it our preferred spot for our Thursday Date-Night dinners.
Thank you so much to James and everyone at...
Read moreHad another amazing dinner. We look forward to this on our annual drive. We have a large family so we have been lucky to try lots of different items. Between us all we are Slowly marking things off the menu to try and I can tell you. Nothing is a bad choice. We have left every time swearing THIS meal was our favorite. We had brassica short Ribs (falling off the bone) PNW burger ( an all Time favorite) that peak sauce WOW! A steak. So tender with an amazing garlic butter, the mashed potatoes were some of the best I have ever had! Pesto rigatoni, chicken pot pie, Chicken Madeira, pork tenderloin( is so much food) Salmon with Soy Ginger Glaze ( is my husbands favorite... for this minute. That's JUST the meals.
The starters we have now had are Bang Bang Shrimp my husband and son LOVE, buffalo cauliflower that I LOVE. Fried pickles my kids LOVE, and the all Time full family love is Burrata Caprese for my adventurous and picky eaters. Desserts. The husband loves the apple pie and brownie. Kids love the strawberry shortcake cake and carrot cake. I love the carrot cake and the apple pie. They are just so good and great for sharing and getting a few to have a little of all Or a couple. I wish I could have packed up that apple pie and brought it home. It was amazing with candied pecans. All in all I can say. This dinner is a highlight of our trip. My only gripe is I wish there was one closer to me. I would spend many, many nights here.
As far as the people. Everyone was so nice and attentive. Lots of smiles. Felt like we were all friends. Service was wonderful and prompt. The dinning room and bathrooms were well lit, clean and the music was perfect for the time frame we were there.
I'll end this with the cocktails and seriously like none I have ever had. The bar tender has a real art to his drinks. Just wish there was a closer one. Cannot wait to go back on our next time...
Read moreOkay, part of this was my fault for ordering tacos at a sandwich place. Lesson learned.
The Chicken Fajita taco is the king of "white people" tacos. They looked pretty. It was nothing like any chicken fajita I ever had, more like chewy chicken bits smothered in a couple sauces that were supposed to have flavor, but did not. If it was supposed to have Jalepeno in it, they may have mixed it up with parsley. Each bite was gooey blob of chewy chicken and sour cream basically.
I then was in the mood for Caesar salad with my tacos and upgraded my black beans to a Caesar side. This was the oddest version of a Caesar salad I had ever had. It was basically shredded lettuce with roasted corn, Caesar dressing and a Basalmic drizzle. It was like having pineapple on pizza (which is for some... but not for me), not at all what I expected.
My partner had the Roast Beef Dip which was okay, the horse radish sauce was good and they did a good job having the meat moist even without dipping it. I wish I had ordered this instead.
I didn't experience the flies like some people have reviewed, but it has been colder lately, atmosphere was alright for a late lunch.
The Service staff was excellent and quick to fill water, bring drinks and check on us. My partner did answer and cut me off before I could say anything about the food though. So I've had time to reflect and give an honest review.
My honest review is this. I should not order Tacos from a sandwich place. Also, they should probably take tacos of the menu, they are just bad. The Caeser salad needs reworked to have more than lettuce and corn in it for sure. I may try again someday, I believe in second chances. But until then, I just want people to be warry and know what they are in for, especially...
