I haven’t taken any pictures out there I want to share because they all have a bunch of kiddos in them but I’ve been to a couple events here recently and wish I’d been coming longer- movie in the park was free and had free popcorn- unfortunately the movies are over for the year but they do a good job making the most of the park with a modest play set for the kids if they get bored. Both times I was there Idaho Central Credit Union was out there sponsoring events keeping things between very affordable and free- I will say the hot dog vendor at the movie wasn’t my favorite but he’s an independent guy- didn’t have hot dogs and it’s like bobs hot dog hut..? Read moreGreat place to sit in your car and eat fast food. Cleaner than some restaurants, fun watching kids playing and enjoying the playgound. Really surprised how North Idaho parents are so different than most other places. They spend a lot of time with their kids and every large development has facilities that encourage walking and childrens play. McIntire Family Park does the same right in the middle of Hayden. Only negative, instead of a dogs must be leashed rule, most parks have No Dogs signs. Where are people supposed to exercise their dogs? The plot of land has real historic significance for Hayden as in the mid-20th century it was donated to what was then a village for its City Hall, fire station, community center and main park.
The latter has extensive green space, to go with a baseball field, basketball court and children’s playground.
