Imperial Garden — Restaurant in Hays

Not the best Asian food, but not the worst. Was surprised it was in a mall made by Mexicans... lol. That being said, rice was only 1/2 cooked and very very bland. Surprised that the actually put eggs in it though. Looked like they are using yellow rice, I thought it was infused with chicken broth at first, but the bland taste indicates otherwise. Very very bland. So bland i'm going to say Google a recipe for fried rice. Had the yellow curry with chicken, which could have been more flavorful but over all wasn't bad. Not quite as bland as the rice but the broth definitely tasted watered down. I got the curry hoping I'd find something like bamboo shoots or eggplant or pineapple like yellow curry should have in it, so was disappointed to see it had peppers and onion and carrots... the cheapest vegetables you can buy. I suppose that's what you get from mall Chinese food though. Only reason it's getting 2 stars is for the amount of chicken in the food and how quick it was prepared. Next time I pass through I'll try somewhere...

I've been here 3 different times and there is always a man on the register that is so ARROGANT & RUDE. (Always the same man Hispanic looking) I have eaten my Kung pow at other places (Panda express)with my peanuts cooked with my chicken, so I requested for them to be cooked same because that is how I like them, he says I will see if the cooks want to do it. Really? It's not that hard what I am asking for. Another thing, I asked for my drink to be Pepsi, and he gives me wrong drink( Sierra mist ) , so I tell him this is not what I ordered, he replies to me so what do I do with this drink? Obviously he is not paying attention to what I'm ordering and decides to give me what he wants. I would like to know who is the owner to this place because your employee has a really bad attitude. I have tried to keep my cool every single time I come here but he is always arrogant to my request. Im paying for my food so I can request how I want it made!. Very bad...

Food is always cooked fresh in front of you and very fast. I've always enjoyed my meal and they are reasonably priced.

Two things they should change is not letting the cashier wear her backpack while working as it looks unprofessional. Also, I never get a detailed receipt. A business should always give you a receipt showing the separate meal prices, drinks, and tax they charged you!

One time recently I had the sweet and sour chicken and the chicken tasted like cheap chicken nuggets instead of their usual ones so hopefully was just a one off and they didn't change...
