Me and my partner have previously had lunch here awhile ago, and it was decent. So, this morning we decided to eat breakfast here. We arrived at 10 AM. It was decently busy when we were seated. We were seated and asked what we wanted to drink right away. It only took about 5-7 minutes for the waitress to come back around and take our order. It went very downhill from there. It took 25 minutes to get our food. My partner ordered the Uplander meal (eggs, sausage links, pancakes & hash browns) and I ordered the Dixie Special (4 biscuits with homemade gravy) and a side of hash browns. By the time we received our food, my glass of apple juice and half of the tiny glass of water was consumed. Our waitress did not ask if she could refill drinks, let alone look at our glasses. The food was terrible, at least mine was. My biscuits dry, gravy mediocre. AND, we had to hunt down our waitress to even get my side of hash browns, for they were forgotten. My partners pancakes were decent, that was the only slight upside of our visit. It took another 20 minutes after we finished our breakfast to get the check. A person who is not a regular is treated like an outsider, as all the tables with regulars or eldery folk were either greeted by name or with great service and smiles, while we sat there invisible to the waitresses. We were FINALLY ASKED if we needed anything when we were obviously done. I bluntly said "No, we are ready for our check." So, for the regulars and nice elderly folk, this is a must have, for you will be treated like kings and queens. But as for us, I won't step foot in Pheasant Run for a long time, if ever again. I do not like wasting my hard earned money on terrible food and...
Read moreJust ate at this restaurant, traveling from out of state. Service time was average. The ladies serving were pleasant. However, some tables with locals seem to be spending too much time chatting. As a result waited a bit longer for a coffee refill?i had to ask for one with another server? She grumbled, returned about 5 min later, when the table of locals she was serving had several individual pots of coffee carafes at there table?
There wasn't a lot of folks there when we arrived but then they got a few more folks all the sudden and were running around trying to take care of everyone, indicating a staff shortage!
The food was cold when it arrived but overall appearance & quality of product was there. We were hungry and the server didn't look she was coming back for a while. We ate slowly hoping she would return so we could have the problem rectified. When she finally did after about 5 bites, we told her politely the food was a bit cold. She apologized but offered no return of the food to comply with our concern?
We decided this was the experience we were going to get, so we ate it. When she returned after we were done she gave us the bill and refilled my husbands coffee.
There was no offer to discount the cold food or to remake it. I would not return while...
Read morePheasant Run has always been a place to go eat at with my family especially my grandparents Leon and Mary Wolf. Who unfortunately are no longer with us which makes it hard for us to go and eat at places that they ate at a lot. However, we overcame that today and went here and ate! The food was delicious my eyes were bigger than my head though! As my grandma would call it I need a âdoggy bagâ to take home the remainder! It was affordable and we had an amazing waitress who kept checking in on us every so often! They werenât as busy as I thought they would be so it was nice to have an atmosphere that wasnât to much chaos but enough noise around us to help us keep vibing! It was also not to expensive for two people to eat $22 is not bad if you think about it when you go to a fast food place itâs usually almost $30 depending upon what you get! So, that being said if your new to hays cause of college, or just here visiting, or you lived here your entire life and havenât checked this place out?!?! Your missing out and you need to at least try it and whose to say the one time you try it they have you hooked for 56+ years like my...
