Harbor Freight — Local services in Hays

I spent over $2k in this store, and at the time I didn’t have space for my purchases, so I asked politely if they could keep my tools, they said they could, I told them I’d be back 2 days later to pick it up. I went back and all of my stuff that I had already purchased was put back on the shelves of the store, I spent over 3 hours in that store getting everything I needed. Just to come to that, I asked to speak to a Manager, the Manager I spoke with was also very very rude, her name was Alicia. Then I asked if i could get some help with getting my stuff back to checkout again, in which she proceeded to tell me that nobody was allowed to help me find my products that I had already paid for. I am disgusted at the way she handled the unfortunate event. She also treats the employees like they’re children, barking orders at them left and right, I could hear her steaming across the store, that’s not how any store manager should perform, and Harbor Freight should be ashamed to even have hired such a coward. My favorite place on the planet...I've tried to set up camp in the store but that's 1 of the few things they're not ok w/.😁I remember when I had 2go to Salina to enjoy HF's great prices, & I used to tell my old man (from Hays & is/was a 100% Home Depot only loyal customer)how amazing HF is & he'd always say, "all they sell is that cheap foreign junk that ain't worth a beep" but since the Hays location opened my mom ratted him out, apparently he's a fairly regular customer of HF now too, so much that I've even ran into him there myself lol. Yes they sell foreign tools & some are a bit cheaply made but not all of them, if you have even half a good eye you can tell pretty easily if a tool looks like it's well built or not...Obviously stay away from the plastic torque wrenches & high speed bumper bolts & you should be good. I'm fairly tough & heavy handed on my tools & I'd say of all the items I've bought from them they're a strong 95% success rate of still going strong & I been shopping w/them for nearly a decade by now. I renewed my ITC Membership in Clarksville, TN and have had several issues with my Clarksville store getting my info properly updated so that my account would reflect the renewal. The manager there stated that the issue would be resolved. However, it’s been two weeks and when I made my purchase in the Hays location, my account was still not updated.

Brian, the Hays store manager obtained a copy of my receipt where it showed my 2-year renewal and my contact information. He called me only a few days later to state that HF got my account updated and the issue is resolved.

The Hays location is just amazing. Wide selection and AMAZING customer service, which is really what makes or breaks a store.

I really hope that HF reaches out to Brian to give him a well-deserved raise or at minimum, a free tool sample for his expedient and promised customer service!...
