Denny's — Restaurant in Hayward

I had breakfast here today and had a bad experience! We got there and were seated right away but my waitress took a very long time to come take my order, we then finally ordered and i order a shake and a coke well after like 40m my food came but the never brought my shake well i said forget it next time. i order some eggs and asked for hot sauce and she said yea right away never brought it 😣 i just ate them like that whatever! Then my husband ordered pancakes and they never brought the syrup asked two different waiters and they both forgot! I stood up and searched the empty tables for a syrup, then the bill came in and they charged me FOR THE SHAKE THEY NEVER BROUGHT ME!!! When i came to the front i explained the situation to the front desk and they removed the shake from my bill and said sorry about the syrup, the hot sauce, and forgetting my shake! The bill was $37.40 i give her a 100 dollar bill and she just hands me 42 dollars even no change nothing!! I ask her hey i am missing 20 dollars and she replies by saying well its not your dad today!!!! She opens the cash register and hands me another $20 dollars but still no change!! I have to say, this is one of the nicest remodeled Denny's I have been to in awhile. Sometimes, I have those guilty pleasures of just having breakfast as my meal. Denny's is just that...comfort food I look forward to when I don't want anything complicated. You know what to expect. It used to be pretty cheap meal deals but inflation. What can you do? We live in the Bay Area.

We haven't come to this location in years and it's across from Chabot college. After our hike, we wanted breakfast. We saw how nice it looked from outside and even had some louging area and games for kids or adult kids outside. They had fake grass to help the cost of water and environment. . Plenty of parking but still busy for a weekend. They even had a parking security person but not sure you can call it that...

Inside was very nicely decorated with Hayward portraits on their wall. Our party of 6 was seated pretty fast as they had plenty of tables. Good for big groups and open 24/7 for those midnight cravings. Service was ok but we know our server did the best she could with the crowd and demand. Where do I start. My order had to go back to the kitchen three times in one visit. Nothing inside the bag was what I ordered. When they claim they fixed the issue I still had missing items. Ordered a Cobb salad there was nothing on the salad but avocado and grilled chicken, sorry but that's not a cobb nor was it how it was described. I also received a side order of french fries that were refrigerator cold, when I asked them for the hot fries that were originally in my bag, I was giving back the exact same container and fries, tasted like they put them back in the grease to warm them up. I couldn't go back a fourth time, because at that point I was very angry 😡 I just left. Second time they've messed up my online order, once they claim they didn't receive the order, show them confirmation number and it miraculously appeared, waited an hour and a half for pancake sausage and eggs, when my order was placed over an hour before I arrived.
