I bought three bags of Chicharones at $12.50 each on 10/30 paid cash, but this place don’t give out receipt. I gave away two bags to my Sister and kept one. Bag had 11/15 on the back which I assumed a “sell by date”. I opened it on 11/08 and they were stale (maranta). My husband said the same thing. I threw away the two pieces and saved the rest in the bag. I brought it back on 11/10 and the owner said it can’t be replaced cause they stopped using those type of bags 3 weeks ago. It seem like the problem started longer than my complain, why they changed the sealed bags. Long story short, she didn’t believe when I said ‘I bought them 2 weeks prior’. Even then it was marked 11/15. I won’t lie for something like that and left her the bag. I don’t know her name but she owns the place. Watch out! They sell outdated items, and always get a receipt. The quality and authenticity of the food here are no joke. The food is served cafeteria-style where you pick and choose the items you want. The temperature of certain items can be hit/miss. It seems like the items towards the bottom of the trays are warmer in temperature. The sinigang I choose had an appropriate temperature to me while the fried rice and tocino were a tad bit on the lukewarm/room temp side. Besides the temperature, the taste of the food reminded me of home. I really enjoyed the Pork Sinigang and Pork Adobo that I ordered. The portion size was a tad bit on the smaller side but the price was reasonable. ~$12 for a 2 choice combo. The cashier was hospitable and kind. Tried the halo halo for the 1st time. It was so nasty and didn’t taste halo halo at all. I returned it after 2 bites & told the owner. It was $10! I don’t mind the price of food if it’s good, but this $10 halo halo is a scam. After he argued, screamed and said it was my opinion( which it is!), I insisted on getting something free.
