PizZando — Restaurant in Healdsburg

We were roaming around downtown Healdsburg in the evening and had not figured out where to have dinner. We knew we did not wanted italian or pizza so ended up at Pizzando as it looked like a really nice place and it was also pretty busy. We had to wait about 15 minutes before we got a table which was ok. Quite late in writing this review as we visited here in June 2023 but wanted to make sure I write this review as we had some really good food and amazing service.

Food - For starters we ordered the Arugula-Fennel salad and warm rosemary focaccia. Both were really really delicious and the bread was amazing with rosemary flavor coming thru each bite and dipped in olive oil. The salad was light, crisp and wonderfully dressed with a balsamic viniagrette. For the mains we ordered a Margherita pizza and that was just amazing. Crust was really good crunchy with a little bite and well flavored. The sauce on the pizza was amazing with a nice tang and we had asked for half of the pizza w/o cheese. We finished every bit of the pizza and thought about ordering another pie but knew we would not be able to finish it so held back.

Service - From the moment we entered to time we finished service was exceptional. Host was very friendly and servers were all very friendly and helpful. the server allowed us to make some changes to the salad and the pizza (half cheese, half light cheese). For couple of our substitutions she even went to the chef to see what they could do. She was genuinely trying to ensure we could get what we wanted, if chef could do it (unlike other places where they just brush you off and say no changes). Throughout the meal she came and inquired if all was ok even though the place was full and she was handling multiple tables

Ambiance - Elegant and nicy cozy place with tables inside and outside. We sat inside and tables were spaced nicely , nice lighting and decorated just right!

If you are in Healdsburg and craving pizza or italian food , I would highly recommend Pizzando as the place to go. You will not be disappointed with the food or service and in my opinion provides...

I hope the owner or bar manager sees this and does something about it. Had an absolutely horrendous customer service experience with a server/worker named Kiley. Her attitude toward me was extremely rude and off-putting and all I did was politely ask how long it would be till an order was ready. I have no idea why people like that work in customer service positions. I'm completely baffled at the level of unprofessionalism and rudeness.

Edit: This is hilarious. Now, the "owner," in response, hasn't addressed or taken accountability for the poor attitude of their worker at all. All excuses. It isn't Monday night. It's Sunday night. Football is over. There was no overwhelm on my behalf, just prudence and punctuality. Bad...

The selection of pizzas is quite small, and honestly they're pretty boring as well. I realize there are different pizza "classes" and that this is on the square and meant to be trendy and touristy, but it just lacked any flavor or creativity. On top of that, the prices were extremely high for how little food you actually receive.

The wait staff was far from friendly - seemed more like they just wanted us all to leave, and that was despite being a family member to one in our group.
