Mariscos Los Cuñados — Restaurant in Heber

Mariscos Los Cundados is a “best in Heber” new restaurant. My brother in law was in town recently from NYC and went here on a recommendation from a friend. He was blown away. So we went to Heber to try it and it’s fantastic.

A few things to know before you go. First, it’s not a traditional Mexican restaurant, which is great! It’s a seafood Mexican place and most dishes have seafood based. This also means that you’re not going to find burritos, fajitas, and enchiladas (again…. All good) but know this in advance and go with an open mind. But they do offer several excellent tacos

Went for lunch today, and every dish we tried was a highlight! The octopus appetizer, crab cake, taco gobernador, and mango habanero aguachile tostada were all incredible! Super fresh too (the owner mentioned it's flown in daily)

Plating and presentation would be at home in a 5-star restaurant, and the flavor is out. of. this. world. Staff was fantastic too - it's clear that from the owner on down everyone is passionate about the place, and they have good reason to be proud.

Seriously don't sleep on this place. 10/10, will...

I tried the other location first because it said it was open in Google. It was the right hours and the right location, but no one was there. The sign on the door so try their other location, which I did. It was also closed despite Google maps saying it’s open. I’ve eaten there before, and the food was great, but I won’t try again. Too many other good places that actually are open when they say they’re open. They could at least put a phone number on Google maps so you could call to see if they’re actually still...
