Vintage Restaurant Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Heber

We ordered take out. Was very excited to try this place. Atmosphere was very vibrant when I went inside to pick up the food. We ordered the baked mac & cheese, the truffle cheese fries and the arugula berry salad.

Disappointment. The Mac and Cheese was bland at best. frankly we tossed it after a couple of bites. the cheeses used had a milky flavor. We are such fans of a great Mac & Cheese. Lola's kitchen does a better job and it costs less.

Meh. the Truffle flavoring was weak. I have been back east to many pubs and their truffle cheese fries at least tasted like truffles. These were reasonably cheesed, but the flavor was made better only when dipped in their fry sauce. One should never have to dip a truffle fry into fry sauce! Again, we tossed 3/4+ of these fries... not at all impressed.

As Expected. The arugula berry salad would have been incredibly hard to mess up. They didn't make it exceptional, but they didn't screw it up. we did finish this off. the citrus vinaigrette dressing was a good paring. it could have used about 10% more goat cheese and walnuts + 20% more berries,

After time has passed and I've forgotten a bit of the disappointment, I may venture back. but until then, if you go, at least avoid these items or demand better versions. I'm sure the kitchen has someone smart enough to figure out how to kick...

I had heard good things however was very dissatisfied. There were 4 other tables, 1 waitress, but took 10 minutes after ordering for the beer we ordered and then forgot other beverage. I ordered the onion blossom and was bland and over cooked tasted burned, main was the sunrise burger, ordered it med rare came out well done and the fried egg was over hard. Music was loud to the point where conversations had to be loud to hear. Also if you are going to have tables where you can see in the kitchen better hope your cooks follow code. Yes wearing gloves is great but I belive your suposed to change them after handeling raw meats and touching dirty dishes which guess what didnt happen watched both those things happen and the straight into salad lettuce. Glad I didnt order a salad. The Busser or bar back not sure of position was very sweet and nice but server was straight faced and made me feel rushed especially after 6 orb7 minutes and gave us the check didnt even check on if we wanted more drink or even ask about the food. And 4 bucks for a can of coke come on that's stupid over charge. I'm bummed out that this was such a let down was hoping for more good...

I've visited a few times now before forming an opinion. It's a new to Heber restaurant but there just seems to be a lack of care and pride from all angles. Food is very lacking and pretty pricy compared to what you can get at other Heber establishments. Most recently I was the only patron at the bar, 1 table inside and 2 tables outside and I watched someone have to walk in and up to the bar to ask to be helped (the servers response to this was not friendly). 4 tables is not a heavy lift... and I felt neglected sitting inside facing where the server was standing between working on things. Never was my dishes cleared and barely was I checked in on. Tomato soup was very good... but the grilled cheese was burnt, so unpleasant to eat, but I never was able to give the feedback to the server because he didn't check in after I received my food. Took me over 15 minutes to get my check while my dishes sat empty on the bar next to me. Such a bummer as we need more options in town! There's so much potential for this little spot but it needs more attention and better expectations set...
