My wife and our three young daughters tried Bullmans pizza for the first time since we have lived in Montana. We heard good things about it, but we finally made it there last night.

I was a bit surprised by the smallness of the table area, and when we arrived there around 7:30pm it was BUSY! We got the only table, and that was nice but it was LOUD. Loudest restaurant we've been in in a long time.

The menu items sounded good, and We made our orders. We saw the pizzas delivered to our neighboring table, which was seemingly only inches from us, lol, and the crusts seemed unevenly cooked and burned, and we weren't sure.

When the food arrived though, it tasted better than it looked. The crusts were SUPER thin though, I guess because it's cooked in an open fire oven, but it tasted good regardless of the way it appeared.

The all meat pizza was a little disappointing with the amount of meat that was on it, and the herb bread appetizer was super thin too, so the entire meal just about was finished with hardly any leftovers.

With tip, it was $100 to eat there, so it was pretty pricey and the value wasn't as high as I would hope. It's not bad though, and it's quite different than most of the other pizza places around. It's definitely worth a try because of...

Well, I went with a friend and we had never been there before so we did not realize we were supposed to see ourselves. That being said we waited 15 minutes or longer and no one noticed we were sitting at the table until I got up and told them. There were three young ladies working one had dark brown hair and she said well you're not supposed to seat yourself that's why we didn't notice you with a bad attitude. Although it was our mistake I did not appreciate being treated disrespectfully. My friend got a large salad with chicken which she said was very good. I got a large pizza which was small and it was expensive but it was very tasty. Oh and I almost forgot I had a salad and it had a bug in it (alive bug). So, I asked if I could please have another salad. I never received the salad so I got up to ask the waitress where it was and the same dark-haired young lady with the bad attitude from earlier said what kind of salad and I said a side salad with ranch to go and then she walked over and pulled it out and said oh it's right here I figured I would give it to you when you were ready to pay and leave. I was disappointed with the young lady with the long dark hair so because of that I probably will never return...

I've been in Helena for almost 10 years now and there is still no place where you can get pizza on the level of Bullman's pizza. Not only is it unique for Helena's standards in that it's not just boring oven pizza, but the work that goes into every pie is clear as you taste it.

I've eaten inside the restaurant 5 or 6 times and gotten pizza to go twice that much and have never been remotely disappointed. I will say that it is MUCH better when it is fresh. I live 30 miles from the location so by the time I get home it's cooled off a bit.

If you're looking for pizza that has much more robust flavor than your average Domino's/Little Cesar's mass production oven style and great staff to boot, Bullman's is your place. Actually, if you want pizza that will make you never want any pizza from anywhere in town...

This is definitely not Montana’s best pizza. First, they have outdoor seating, but won’t bring the pizza out. The bar seating is too close to the oven making it too warm when you are trying to escape the 95 degree heat today. After you eat outside, they don’t have a garbage can, so they refer you to the neighbor’s dumpster. They have 2 sizes, medium and large. I can’t imagine what the small would be because the medium was a personal sized pizza. I actually left a pizza restaurant hungry for the first time in my life. The price though was a medium-sized price. With a drink, nearly $20. Speaking of drinks, they only have one size, medium. I only gave them an additional star because the crust was good. The photo shows the pizza in a 12” box. You can see how small it is.

Driving pass Helena and was looking for something to eat. Compared to all the reviews, seems like Bullman is the best place for pizza in this area. It is good, ingredient is fresh. It is thin crust style pizza, similar to New York style pizza but the crush is harder. Still good. They don't skim on toppings. i would skip their appetizer though, the herb bread does not impress me. Barely any herbal/garlic taste. Their sandwiches menu looks good. I will try that for lunch next time. I don't have problem with service, I guess depends on what server you get and I did have a good one, I can tell the other one that sit next to the oven has a mean face on.
