Memorial Park Ice Rink — Attraction in Helena

Over the many years not much has changed with this place. It's a Helena Hometown favorite in the winter time with the ice skaters. Nothing too exciting to see here. Whether you're learning to skate or an expert skater it's a great place to go in the winter time for outdoor skating. You never know what you're going to get with the conditions of the ice. It's usually the best mid-season and as spring gets closer conditions...

Best outdoor winter family fun in Helena! We ordered hot cocoa, lunch and skates came with admission. We can't wait to go again! The reason I gave Memorial Park Ice Rink only 4 stars is that the ice rink itself was full of grooves and ruts (due to warming weather and many skaters). While this didn't deter us, new patrons should be aware of that...

Apparently it's "shut down" for the season? The gate to enter was left open. However the rink hadn't been shoveled from all the snow accumulated the night prior.

Someone had shoveled a small area just before getting there... which was awesome.
