This is a great park. Excellent for family picnics, community gatherings, or just to get out of the house. Plenty of grass area, a couple picnic tables, a barbecue and a stage even for events. The kids playground itself is amazing. Funded by donors, it has a unique layout which is both safe and inviting for most school aged children. Its well maintained and landscaped and is also right next to the community splash and across the street from the YMCA and a skate park, also with a Starbucks within walking distance from the playground. Read moreMemorial park is a nice addition to the downtown area and fairly accessible. I visited in early june. Large, spacious, and complex playground network. The toddler area is a nice touch--allowing the toddlers an appropriate activities area (as big as a regular playground by itself), while bigger kids have a large network of castle-like structures to play on. My kids and I played a lot of tag and hunted each other down with dart guns. Large trees nearby the playground provide shade during the hottest parts of the day. I didn't see any litter.
