Ah, McDonald's-- the land where the fries are golden, the ice cream machine is always "broken" and you somehow leave with more nuggets than you meant to order.
The food is exactly what you'd expect-- delicious in that "I'll regret this later, but totally worth if" kind of way.
The service is fast, but not quite as fast as how quickly you'll devour those fries...
Speaking of the fries... I always find myself tasked with "the fry run" which is a race against time with those fries.... I like to play this little game called “Can I make it home before they get cold?” Spoiler alert: no. ... and nothing is sadder than cold McDonald’s fries. Pro tip: if you order a spare small fry then you get to eat them on the way home and you won't have to explain why the large fry container is only half filled...
Now, let me share a life hack for the best Big Mac you'll ever have-- skip it entirely and order a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese instead. Add shredded lettuce and Big Mac sauce, and boom! You’ve got yourself a supercharged Big Mac with actual substantial beef. Trust me, once you try this, you’ll never go back.
Now here’s the thing, remember the “regret it later” part? Yeah, that’s no joke. Every time, my whole family ends up sitting around in a food coma, stomachs aching, asking each other, “Why do we do this to ourselves?” It's like a tradition of poor life choices.
So, if you’re willing to pay the price for some tasty but questionable decisions, McDonald’s...
Read more11-20-2022 roughly 12:20ish pm. The atmosphere was my car because it's drive thru only. Ordering was embarrassing, the young girl kept laughing and talking to the people around her. We had to repeat our order several times. We pull up to the first window to a polite guy and paid our $20 some dollar bill. Pull up to a car that is sitting at the next window. Sit there for another 12 mins, finally pull up to the very childish unprofessional girl at the next window. She's still chatting with the other two girls around her and she hands us our drinks then tells us to pull forward to wait for our meals...... at this point someone that ordered but hadn't paid yet whipped around the car behind us and left out of anger. My husband and I both worked for McDonald's in our youth and know chicken always takes some time to cook, which is what we both ordered. We get our food and pull over in the shopping center to eat, everything is in there but my chicken sandwich is rather dark which I don't understand because when the timer goes off, you pull it up. I don't understand how orders can take so long whenever only the drive thru is open, no one is inside bugging you. The shift manager needs to try harder and the younglings need to prove...
Read moreI placed a mobile order around 12:30. I pulled into the drive-thru at 12:34.. there were 3 cars ahead of me. We did not talk to anybody at the speaker until 12:56, at which point we were addressed "what can we do for you?" After giving the mobile code, we pulled up to the 1st window, got our receipt and proceeded to the 2nd window. After about 2 minutes the girl working the second window opened the window and went to hand us a drink that we didn't order. and after about 30 seconds of confusion she figured it out. We sat there until 1:04 at which point I got the attention of the girl working the window again and asked to speak to a manager. At 1:09, the manager came over to the window and said they were short-staffed. She apologized but didn't offer to do anything for us. I explained that if I hadn't placed and paid for a mobile order that I would have gotten out of line because we had already been in line for 35 minutes at this point. Again, she still did not offer to do anything for us for the inconvenience. We finally received our food at 1:16. the double cheeseburgers were fine, one of the large fries was hot and fresh, the other fry and the 2 10-piece nuggets were lukewarm at best. I will never return to this McDonald's...
