It is always a thrill for me to take someone in to allow them to see how the Ah-Boong and Taiyaki are made especially little kids. Their eyes light up as they watch the workers create this beautiful indulgences for us to enjoy.

Upon entering was quickly greeted and asked if we had any questions re: the menu or the flavors. We had a little one with us so it decided to do the Taiyaki as it would be less messy. We opted for the Taro, Custard, and Oreo flavors plus ( 2 ) Strawberry Milks. The flavors are always on point and the consistency of the desserts has always remained. I love that.

Now I will admit we had to quickly take ours, turn our backs and devour, as the little one saw they looked like fish and didnt want anyone to eat them. He wanted to take the fish home and put them in water. So there are ( 3) Taiyakis that may be in water living out their best life right now. JS

Interior is very modern and sleek. There is a long sit up counter with matching bar stools, along with a large wooden type bench for the waiting area. Music was playing in the background. Everything was very clean

So I rolled into Somi Somi ready for something sweet and Instagram-worthy. I went for the upside-down Cookies & Cream, stuffed with Nutella, and topped it off with a generous sprinkle of crushed Oreos. That taiyaki cone? Warm, chewy, and holding it all together like a dessert MVP.

Food: The presentation was fire, and the textures were on point. But I’ll be honest—the flavor was a tad on the bland side. Not bad, just not mind-blowing. Still, the Nutella saved the day like a gooey, chocolatey superhero.

Service: Friendly, fast, and super helpful. They didn’t just serve ice cream—they served vibes.

Atmosphere: Bright, clean, and welcoming. Perfect place to treat yourself or bring a friend for a sweet hangout spot.

Somi Somi is Amazing!!! If you haven't tried it, this place is an absolute MUST! We absolutely love their soft serve ice cream and fish-shaped cake (Taiyaki). It's such a great concept, and the desserts not only taste delicious, but also look super cute. The store is very spacious, nicely decorated with bright colors and very inviting atmosphere. They have counter-top seating inside and a couple of tables outside as well. Staff is kind, very friendly, welcoming and they truly appreciate your business. There are 3 steps to order. Select a cup or taiyaki, the choice of soft serve and the filling for inside. At the end they have different toppings you get to choose from. You really can't go wrong with any items you put together, it's all equally delicious! We have ordered several different items from the menu and we were pleasantly surprised with the flavors, not too sweet at all, ice cream was very creamy and the Taiyaki were very fluffy and yummy!!!
