I have to give the people an update about Dutch Bros Coffee. First, you already know there is only drive through and walk up service. There are no tables inside or out. So, plan on taking your beverages to go. However, I learned so many new facets about the Dutch on this visit. They are always blasting the best music 🎼 and it is Dutch Bros Radio!! Yup, who knew. I always assumed they paid for Spotify.
Then, they added a high protein drink menu. I had always assumed that Dutch was the “other” not-so-healthy alternative and less expensive coffee option. Be prepared to pay $1.00 up charge for those 20 grams of protein, but they will add it to ANY drink.
The other thing I like about the Dutch is the friendly staff. No fancy terms. It’s just small medium or large. No Venti Schmenti business or schooling me on your industry specific terms when we both know YOU know exactly what size I’m asking you to punch in on your register.
Also, they do honor the free waters. I have had them-they taste as good as Starbucks. However, I cannot vouch for their water purification practices being at the level of their competitors and I don’t believe that I qualify as a H2O sommelier…🫤
Then there is the creamy whip on top. That stuff is just delicious 😋 . I do not know what unnatural substance it is created from but I seriously do not even care. I get it on every drink I order.
They also greet you right at your car to help expedite your coffee drink delivery and regardless of the inclement weather conditions- the folks are so darn cheerful. 😃 The recently upgraded to tap and pay. This should have been done long ago, but I’m not hating.
Today, I had cheerful Brie in the car line and Sydney and Christian Baristaing my drinks at the pick up window. When you pay, they do promo a tip, which is industry standard EVERYWHERE now. I have given, not given and given cash based upon merit at the window. I still get a huge smile and grateful ☺️ service. So it is truly your call zero guilt. While you wait ( they must train these folks) some always asks, “what I’m up to today?”. This mortifies my teenage sons. I always answer earnestly. They hate this. Then, they equally hate my standard joke of I don’t need a ☕️ coffee carrier because I have humans. 😉
Bottom line: for three medium drinks with the protein upgrades it was $22. I paid the tip cash based on my outstanding service. I gave extra because it was windy and freezing 🥶...
Read moreFinally decided to write this review. My visit was today between 9:30 and 9:50 a.m. (just in case the owner/manager really does want to have a chat with the young ladies on duty outside). I have read past reviews both positive and negative as I always do to make sure I'm not being biased. This was my second visit since April. My family was here to visit and fell in love with this place (North side was SO much better)! So I remembered that they do/may take your order while in line. Well the girl taking orders for the car right in front of me was there so long I thought "okay maybe I was supposed to order back there where the menu was posted up." The girl walked with the car ahead of me each time we moved up 3 or 4 times. I said "ok she either knows this person personally, she's trying to sell something or this is political." However, after about 10 minutes of chaperoning this car step by step she completely skipped me and went to the next car. I was still clueless as to what had happened. Not upset yet. The sweet young lady at the window took my order and explained that they should be taking orders not messing around out there. Upon reading the reviews for this location here's what I found out. They mess around a lot wasting time, several people have had my same experience, some have been charged a tip without being asked if they wanted to tip at all and that they are just kids. We visited this location on Monday June 30 at 9:15pm and experienced the worst response from a team member. After pulling into the drive thru and waiting over 15 mins for someone to come out my husband got out and went to the window where he encountered Brandon. Upon asking Brandon if they were still open he said “yeah” and then when my husband said “ok it’s just we’ve never had to wait this long before when no one was in line” to which Brandon looked right at him with a dead stare and said “someone will be out eventually “ Um. Say what now? Who says that? My husband came back to the car in complete disbelief. After a few moments a sweet girl named Alessi came out to take our order. When we told her what Brandon said she immediately apologized and took our order. She was so helpful and genuine. When we went to pay she said nope it’s on us you never should have been spoken to that way. We thanked her for not only the generous gesture but for her stellar customer service.
