Booked my sons birthday, 3 months in advance. 2 weeks before the party, a staff member called me and explained they over booked parties for that same day because their online system doesn't stop people from booking and that I "need to understand" we would be one of 5 birthdays and we would only get 2 tables in the middle of the room reserved.
I was upset because, after I booked (3 months prior) I called and requested the area to the left of play place that was private. And was told yes, we could have that area. The mangers response was "things changed" and they promised it to another larger party WHO BOOKED AFTER ME! she did absolutely nothing to make it better. In fact she made it worse because she also explained because of the 5 parties, and them being "over booked" each kid was only allowed 1 adult.
I explained, that wasn't good customer service and what about the kids where both parents want to come or grandparents with no kids? She told me "they wouldn't be allowed without paying."
How was I going to tell my guests, 1 kid 1 adult, literally last minute... and I had already purchased decorations for 4 tables but now i had to condense to 2 tables and everyone else would need to stand or find a random seat?!
I expressed those parties who booked last should be requested to change their time slot or day since their online system is so poor. The manager told me weekend parties just need to be flexible. I offered my own solution of- moving my party to another day ((even though invitations already went out)) if it meant less congestion, kids could have 2 parents, if needed, and we could get the private area to the side since we were moving our party last minute. I thought that was a reasonable solution!!
The manager agreed.
When we showed up.... they LIED!!!!!!!!! I did not get the private area. they said they needed it for a party happening 2 hours later and they had to "set up." I changed the day, for that private area and they LIED!!! Instead they shoved 3 random tables together in the middle of the room. It was so impersonal.
When kids with 2 parents showed up I was 'scolded' each time by the person working the front desk and they tried to add 3 random kids to my bill and when I questioned it... they told me we had more guests attend than we told them. I literally had to count each kid infront of them during cake to prove we didn't have 3 extra kids. I think they were trying to add those charges cause 3 extra adults!! So check ur invoice!!
If I give any advice DO NOT BOOK A PARTY the traditional way. Tell your guests to show up at a certain day and time, and pay for them when they walk in. There's no private room anyway, so just all sit next to each other and you'll have the exact same experience but it will save you sooooo much money.
No party = $20 + 2 free adults!!! :) Party pkg =$40 + 1 free adult, each additional adult $15 :(
With allll the money you will save buy a few go-kart cards instead and you'll still save money. Or afterwards take the party up the street to metro pizza for cake and food and STILL pay less.
Ridiculous price...
Read moreRecently, I had the opportunity to take my children to Kids Empire, and I must say, the experience offered both highs and lows that are worth mentioning. First and foremost, the sheer size of the facility and the range of options available for kids to play and explore are truly commendable. From colorful play structures to engaging activities, there's no shortage of entertainment, ensuring that kids of all ages find something they love. This variety is a significant plus, keeping my kids entertained for hours on end. However, it's worth noting that while the expansive play options are a major draw, the cleanliness of the facility didn't quite meet our expectations. A cleaner atmosphere would greatly enhance the overall experience, ensuring that parents feel even more comfortable letting their kids roam and play. Despite this, the staff was friendly and seemed genuinely interested in providing a safe and enjoyable environment for the children. The facility also appears to be well-designed with safety in mind, which is always a top priority for parents. In conclusion, Kids Empire offers a fantastic space for children to play, exercise, and unleash their creativity, with an impressive variety of activities that cater to many interests and age groups. If the management could address the cleanliness aspect, Kids Empire would be an unbeatable option for family fun. We still enjoyed our time and appreciate the size and diversity of play options available, making it a place we would visit again, hoping for slight improvements in the...
Read morepretty great for bigger kids but really for under threes - they need to expand the toddler area into the unused huge empty cafe seating and attract more parents with smaller kids. there needs to be a bit of separation from the big play area too - the big kids plough into the little ones often and easily. we saw way too many collisions of wandering tiny ones from the disco room and bigger kids running around in the vast space. then there’s the issue of keeping a two year old from climbing up to take on the mega slide 🫣, and the tantrum that followed etc…….
the sensory disco room is a brilliant idea. my kid went bananas! she’s two and was utterly amazed 😃.
food options are good but could do hot food maybe and keep us there longer, generating more internal income. i’d gladly pay for nuggets and fries if i don’t have to go home and make it.
Snag us toddler parents! we’ve got money to spend but this place is just geared for big kids really. Toddler area is a bit small and boring after a few mins.
seating area could do with more couches and stuff for us adults can chill out with. it’s uncomfortable if you’re there for hours.
staff were lovely. i appreciate the relaxed approach. i felt quite relaxed…. (until she tried to take on the big slide...
