Okay, so I’m crafting a narrative review without including citations. I’ll break it down into 4-5 paragraphs. I'll mention the location in Henderson, NV, and describe the ambiance—mentioning the decor, seating, and background music. I’ll talk about service, the gyro platters with details on their plating, portion size, and quality. Then, I’ll focus on the Greek salad wrap, the Meraki gyro, and the baklava. I’ll also note improvements like more pita and tzatziki and wrap up with thoughts on price and giving a recommendation. I stopped by Meráki Greek Grill in Henderson craving authentic flavors, and they absolutely delivered. The compact space greets you with bright blue accents, cheerful Mediterranean tunes, and the aroma of sizzling meats. We snagged a corner booth near the open kitchen, where the staff worked with fast, friendly precision—your order arrives hot and plated just seconds after you sit down.
We ordered two Traditional Gyro Platters, and each was a generous mound of thinly carved beef and lamb, still steaming and juicy. The meat was well seasoned—garlicky, slightly smoky, and not dried out like at so many other spots around town. Underneath, a bed of fluffy rice pilaf flecked with parsley and lemon zest absorbed all the drippings, and a crisp chopped salad offered cool crunch between bites.
The Greek Salad Wrap with grilled chicken was a meal in itself. Thick slices of chicken breast were juicy and lightly charred, wrapped in pillowy soft pita with crunchy cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, Kalamata olives, and crumbled feta. I wished for extra pita and a little more tzatziki sauce to scoop up every last bit of flavor—next time, I’ll be sure to ask for double portions of both.
Our Gyro Meráki came loaded with crispy, hand-cut fries that held their crunch under a dusting of sea salt. The fries made the perfect vehicle for leftover tzatziki and those last shreds of gyro meat. It felt like a fun twist on a classic platter, and my only gripe was needing more sauce to dunk every fry.
But the show-stopper was the traditional baklava. We ordered three pieces and polished them off before we even realized it. Layers of flaky phyllo pastry, finely chopped walnuts, and a generous drizzle of honey-sugar syrup were perfectly balanced—sweet without being cloying. I could have easily doubled my order; if you go, do yourself a favor and get a half-dozen.
Prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes, and the whole meal—gyro, wrap, fries, and dessert—came in under forty dollars per person. Service was attentive without hovering, and the open-kitchen vibe made it feel like you were part of the action. If you’re after genuine Greek comfort food with friendly service and generous portions, Meráki Greek Grill is a must in Henderson. Just remember to request extra pita and tzatziki—you’ll...
Read moreMeráki Greek Grill is the bomb! I’ve eaten at several Greek restaurants in town, and they’ve all seemed the same until now. My only negative comment is the same as someone else mentioned, which is the narrowness of the front ordering area. It looks like there are double doors, but maybe only one door opens, which makes it hard for someone to come in and out, because they are blocked by the people waiting to order. However, that is so minor, compared to their heavenly food. They definitely don’t skimp on the cheese, which I love. We had the Saganaki, which we couldn’t help saying, “Mmmm…” after every bite. We had the Mezze Plate, which was great to get a sample of some of the yummy dishes, and sauces. The Village Salad had huge chunks of scrumptious feta in it, with thin, delicate slices of radishes. The Hummus and Tirolaften was creamy and divine. The Meráki Signature Bowl with Aegean Quinoa was huge, and even tasted delicious the next day. I originally thought to myself to get extra Aegean Quinoa next time, because the serving seemed so small, but I was incorrect. The serving spreads out, and every single bite has Aegean Quinoa in it. The chicken Gyro Meráki was well mixed, and had huge portions of chicken and Feta cheese. Each bite was an explosion of flavor in your mouth. Mama’s Rice Pudding is so creamy and decadent, and will make your eyes roll back in your head with ecstasy. The staff was so cordial, and if we asked for anything, the young man would always reply with “Of course,” which was so charming. As we were leaving, a man whom I am assuming was the owner, gave us some free Baklava, since it was our first time eating there. Words cannot describe just how good their Baklava is. I had a little bit when I came home, before going to bed. I’m not even ashamed to admit that I woke up in the middle of the night, craving Meráki Greek Grill’s leftovers, and found myself having a little picnic, in front of the refrigerator, sitting cross legged, with the refrigerator...
Read moreI absolutely loved the flavors! The food is incredible and in good proportions (you get what you pay for.) Each of us ordered something but each meal could have easily been split. I enjoyed the flaky crust-like crunch to their fries and their tzatziki sauce is magnificent. Everything down to even the pita was delightful to taste.
Location: This restaurant is part of the same building as AutoZone.
Parking: Very tight parking space and parking lot. Can be difficult to access, especially when there is heavy activity for Dutch Bros. Best to enter between Trail Canyon and American Pacific rather than to try to access the parking area from Trail Canyon.
Interior: It's a little cramped at the front so if there's a line, be prepared to possibly wait outside. They have their menu on screens, but they also have it on paper, too. The seats do not make very loud sounds, but the acoustics are very loud and noisy. Many windows and outside seating. Looks like the seating is rather shaded during the later part of the day.
Expectations: Make your order for either take out or dine in. If you dine in, you're given a number on a stand to place at the table you choose. Drinks are self-serve or purchased with the meal at the front. Food is brought to the table and it's to be left at the table when you're done (like a sit down restaurant tends to do). There are televisions set up as if it could be a sports bar but to watch them you'd want very specific seating to avoid light glare from the windows.
Does not currently serve alcohol, but has a sign saying they will soon be stocking to serve specific beverages.
They have meals for kids and they have desserts.
My only complaint is that they pack so much into the gyro that you might as well have ordered the platter because there is no holding it to eat it. That or have it come halved...
