Smoothie King — Restaurant in Henderson

Over 100 degrees outside and saw the sign for Smoothie King and thought something there would cool me down, my first visit. There is a poster for a watermelon smoothie and thought that would be good. My 32 ounce smoothie was over $10, but everything is expensive these days. After a few minutes, I get my smoothie and drive away. The smoothie is cold obviously, but I guess I was hoping for something like a fresh Mexican style Aguas Frescas. The Smoothie King smoothie was thick and not a fresh tasting drink. More of a chemical sensation, but ok. Then it seems as though there is a salty element inside that was odd. The sign said something about "hydration", but not sure what that entails. I enjoyed the cold smoothie aspect, but that was about it. I couldn't finish it, the strange saltiness was weird. I don't live in the area, but if I ever try again it won't be the watermelon...

I arrived at 8:58 PM to place an order—just two minutes before their 9 PM closing time. Despite being technically open, the staff seemed uninterested in serving me. They continued their closing routine, barely acknowledging me. When I asked if they were still taking orders, one employee replied, ‘You came in before we closed, so yes, you can order if you want—but we’re closed now.’ The guy mopping didn’t even stop; he only took my order after finishing. Not a great experience, and certainly not the way to encourage...

Man when I say smoothie 🤴 puts tropical smoothie to shame, it really does. One of the best tasting I ever had. Picking up a doordash order I just had to give them a try. So many wonderful options to choose from. I chose the kiwi strawberry 🍓 one and can you say I will be getting a bigger size next time. My hubby has to try it also. For all those that haven't tried them, run/drive fast as you can!!!!! ❤️...
