The service here was bad since I don't speak Spanish. I was trying to order a salad, with everything on it since I didn't know what it usually comes with (I should have checked the options online) and the lady was just looking at me with a blank expression so I repeated "I would like a salad please" again she just stood there.....A salad please.....?.....? Finally, she grabs a plate and puts a tostada shell in a bowl, and starts asking me what I want in it, I replied Adobo grilled chicken, she stares at me with a blank face again and her co-worker comes over and said so you want double chicken? No, I want Adobo grilled chicken, they both keep hearing double chicken again lol. At this point, I'm already frustrated and ready to walk out, so I say regular grilled chicken and they both go Ohh! Ok, now onto the toppings I just went with what they offered me they were pointing at certain things like the beans, rice cheese, queso, and pico. By the time my "salad" was prepared it had no lettuce in it, I never asked for the tostada shell, they never gave me dressing or even mentioned it as an option, I honestly think they just made me a cheesy chicken tostada bowl and it was heavy and disappointing. I still want to try Qdoba's salad and I hear they have pickled veggies which sounds great so next time I will just order online and save the hassle. I know some small kitchens like this don't like to hire people outside of their race but you'd be doing yourselves a favor by getting some English-speaking staff in there. This place is always empty and now I could see why. The food was decent but not as good as Cafe Rio, and Places like Cafe Rio always have multicultural staff. Just...
Read more09/14/2023 @ 7:13pm my husband and myself walked into Qdoba to get bowls when we’re told by the Latino man in the yellow shirt that it’s online order only.. this is not the first time he did this either.. none of the other staff looked aware of this, but they sure went along with it. Another customer came in I told him online orders only. He asked the staff since when? When did you guys start doing this? One staff member tried to save face and say something about the system being down.. the other customer said how can the system be down if you are only taking online orders? No one said anything. We all left. I live down the street from this location. I’m not sure what days yellow shirt and his friends work but those are the days the service is really bad or should I say selective. I was just here on Tuesday right before closing and received amazing service and food. This will be my last time at Qdoba or at least till they fix the issue with yellow shirt & friends. People really be at work acting like they are not on camera acting a fool. Bad reviews and not patronizing for bad service is way more effective then arguing...
Read moreI haven't been to a Qdoba in about 5 or 6 years since they don't have any locations where I live now. I remember having a debate with a friend as to which restaurant was better -- Chipotle or Qdoba (I was on team Chipotle). I do remember liking Qdoba despite not recollecting much about it.
I found myself back in my old neighborhood, and convinced myself to give it a try for old time's sake. First thing that struck me were the options, because there were a lot of them. I made sure to get queso with my burrito bowl, which is the one thing that I do recall (way before Chipotle added queso to their menu). My creation looked and smelled great, but was deceivingly bland. Maybe they've changed their recipes, or maybe I came on a bad day, or maybe my tastes have changed with old age, but I felt it lacked salt and was devoid of any discernable flavor.
The service was good and fast, and they have one of those Freestyle drink machines, which is cool. Otherwise, I'll risk my digestive system and stick with...
